Samsung says no updates as phone was never intended for UK but the middle east is that why no standard 2 year Samsung warranty then ?

Hi I've never had any problems with updates on my A50 I'm still using it now. Not sure about the warranty situation I assumed 12 months came with it when I bought it from Amazon its been a brilliant phone and still is.

Hi is this model water resistant?

The A50 is not waterproof but has a water resistance of IP68 however this would only be guaranteed on a brand new device. Used devices may have been refurbished and once opened any rating is usually void.
