I use this for small projects and clothes when I need to, great for small spaces and crafts, highly reccoment for people who enjoy crafts, or live in a dorm or just don't have the space for a large flat iron table. Very useful, ive had mine for years and its one of my favorite buys

Clever & useful tool
This is really too cute and it does work. Originally purchased to press long sleeves, it does not do those quite as well as I had hoped. This is because the mechanism that locks into place is simple & sturdy but, by necessity of design, it blocks the lower side of the sleeve at about 14". All my long sleeve shirts are much longer than that.So I have to press half the shirt sleeve - then collapse the board & slide the whole thing into the sleeve. Using a tailor's ham for the shoulder and upper half of the sleeve would work too. They do sell some sleeve presses that are more of a U design without the impediment. However, they are not collapsable and they are much more expensive than this one, which was $9.99 when I purchased it.I am still giving this mini-ironing board 4 stars because the one I received was very well made. Some reviewers said that the ironing surface of their's was made from particle board covered by the padding & cloth cover. Mine is not -- it is made of powder coated metal -- the same as the legs as you can see in the photo. The piece that locks the hinge into place is unpainted polished steel. The main metal surface of the board is perforated with holes approx. 5 cm. in diameter very much like my full-sized board. It has foam padding & a cotton drawstring cover.Another common complaint is it that it is too small. The dimensions are clearly stated in the description: 4.5"W x 20"D x 4.625"H. It may be small but it is not misleading. When open & locked into position there is virtually no flex to the board. It is quite sturdy. It collapses easily & takes very little space to store. And, even though it does not do long sleeves as simply as I had hoped, I have found it is invaluable for ironing small pattern pieces when I am sewing outfits for my grandkid's dolls. If you have babies or small children it would be perfect for their clothes also. Little girl's frilly dresses are terribly difficult to iron on a full sized board. The reviews that said the board was flimsy particle board were written several yrs. ago. I hope the company improved the design since those reviews. Mine was purchased in 09/14. Hope this helps.

Great for sewing
I was surprisingly impressed with the quality of this little board. I wanted a small raised board beside me at my sewing machine to press seams open and hems up while a project is in process. This sleeve board is just what I needed. The sturdy little base and legs lock in place for use but also fold up for storage. The board has a thin pad with a nice cover. The legs are short but they raise the board to about 4.5", so you can slip a sleeve or other tube over the narrower end for about 11" of length without obstruction from the angled legs. The top pressing surface is 20" long. This sleeve board would not replace a regular size ironing board in the sewing room but for little bits of pressing while sewing it works wonderfully.

perfect for the job
I very rarely iron clothes but when I do it is usually the collar or sleeve and cuff. This mini sized ironing board worked out perfectly! Easy to open and close, sturdy when ironing with a regular size iron and takes up very little space to store. A great find on Amazon, very pleased with this purchase.

Why did I wait so long to buy this!
I always found ways to work around not having a small ironing board. If I had known how much easier this made my life when I'm sewing and how much time it saved I'd have bought it years ago.
