Great alternative to binoculars.
I like these. Small, portable and fairly clear optics. The focus ring and eyecups are the weak link, I've had problems with them in the past.

Great piece of glass!
The Vortex Solo 10x25 is a fantastic little monocular. The clarity is what you'd expect from Vortex. It has an easy to use focus dial right around the eyepiece. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Impressive for the investment
I dont often write reviews but I had to comment on this purchase. Needed to have a mono to take on trips and hikes without having to lug the binoculars (I have high quality 8x40) I tried a low cost Car..on 10x20 and was surprise how bad they were returned them promptly. After speaking to a friend expert in optics he mentioned several high quality (read costly) such as Zeiss and Opticron but I just couldn’t justify the investment for my needs. Once you unpack and hold the optics you feel the quality and ruggedness. The lens is bright and sharp but at 10x I knew I had to have a steady hand or use my other hand to brace myself … the 8x is probably easier in shaky situations. One complaint is the focus ring is a bit stiff but maybe in time it will loosen. My trick is to turn all the way right then a one index finger operation is possible by pushing slowly left and hope you don’t get past focus.. otherwise with 2 hands it is smoother and more accurate. I use the pouch in my backpack but also use the lanyard around my neck and tuck it under shirt to prevent bouncing around and dust. The eye relief is very good and doesn’t take much to get used to it. Overall it is excellent for this price point. I am sure that a 3x to 5x the price an ED glass would provide better optics but for casual observations and distance spotting you can’t go wrong. I don’t hesitate in recommending this Vortex.

Great gadget! But ....
I was looking for a small yet powerful and light weight monocular that I can take on hikes, one that is easy to use, good value for the money, and that will survive the rough and tumble. This little monocular fits the bill, and more. It is well made, great quality. The pouch it comes with is all you need. I would highly, highly recommend. But ..... using it makes me dizzy, the magnification is too strong for my eyes so I will return. A real bummer that has nothing to do with the product. I am not even sure I would be able to handle a 8x...

Great monocular. Perfect for birdwatchers.
Very handy for hiking in New Hampshire. Helps me to see the high mountain features. Also great for watching rope climbers on the cliffs. Very light, I wear it around my neck. Perfect for birdwatchers as well. Very simple focus ring. I highly recommend Vortex products.

The Monocular That Was King… Until Tech Leveled Up
The Vortex Solo 10x25 is basically the pocket scout that shows up with great clarity, solid coatings, and that classic Vortex durability. It’s light, easy to carry, and perfect for quick spotting — the kind of optic you toss in a bag without thinking twice. But 10x25 only gets you so far. If you’re trying to see details, track wildlife, or get a closer look at distant scenery, you’ll hit the limit fast. Modern monoculars with bigger objectives or higher magnification simply give you more reach and better low‑light performance. So yeah — great clarity, great build, but if magnification matters, there are better picks now. Solid 3/5 — good, but not the one you recommend for serious zoom.

Impressive
This monocular is small, functional and durable. I've used it extensively since receiving it from amazon. It's multi coated lense doesn't fog up and is crystal clear. I recommend getting the 10x for it's light gathering capability but I'm sure the 8x functions well also. It's also ergonomically designed and can in fact be easily adjusted using only one hand. It feels right in the hand and the carrying strap is perfect for any bow hunter who intends to wear this monocular while shooting, it doesn't get in the way of the string and is of no concern, allowing me to focus on the my shot while hunting. I've also crawled around while bow hunting in sand and grit with this Vortex monocular and it cleaned up amazingly well some sand and grit did get in the adjustment ring but after it dried up I simply blew it away. I've permanently attached the carrying case to my fanny pack and intend to take the monocular on all my hunting and scouting adventures.

Perfect balance.
The power is just right and pretty clear (better than I expected for certain). So far the waterproof sealing and coatings have worked fine. The size and weight are great. It focuses quite close (much better than my previous Pentax binoculars) and isn't really picky focus wise (meaning the lens elements are not such that constant focusing is necessary). Perfectly adequate and then some for bird watching and so many other pursuits. The balance of price and performance is perfect. The soft case and strap it comes with are adequate but cheap and probably will not adequately protect the monocular indefinitely as the case has openings at the top and bottom and a snap closure for using on a belt which is convenient but potentially problematic. The strap uses a plastic snap buckle which is also very convenient, but likewise potentially problematic. But don't let those issues stand in your way as they are not necessarily issues at all as many will prefer those conveniences to the rock solid rigidity of fixed closures and they are easily replaced for cheap. The eyepiece screws out and snaps in place for viewing and it does so with a lack of authority that leads me to believe that it will not always function solidly, but should that day come it will be easy enough to permanently fix the position and add a very short amount to the length as well as the additional protection that brings the lens. The monocular itself is well worth the cost notwithstanding these possible imperfections.

best monocular I've had
I've had two other monoculars in the past, I have a terrible habit of loosing them. The earliest one I had was less powerful but I forget the make/model. My last one was a "visionary" which had a very clever close range function for looking at insects and flora etc, it had the same stats for distance 10x but I think the field of vision was smaller than this. With this one the field of vision feels a lot larger even though I believe it's only 1 more than the visionary it somehow feels a lot bigger, brighter and crisper image. The monoculars structure is very satisfying because it feels very durable and textured, feeling like a sturdy piece of kit but is also very light. The pouch you get with it isn't the neoprene sock thing that you see in some of the you tube "unboxing" it is however a soft Velcro pouch like you'd normal get for a camera etc. A twist out eye relief which I find very useful because otherwise all I could see would be my own eyelashes on the lense. I recommend this monocular.

Most value for money monoscope
The clarity and distance focus for this inexpensive monoscope is beyond that expected of even pieces in higher price range. Can view road signs claerly up to 1.5km away

RECOMENDO
Recebi o produto muito rápido, me surpreendeu.
