Works with Kawasaki Vaquero with factory ipod cable
Update 9/2019: I have been using this for over two years now and it still works flawlessly on my bike. I now have it paired to my Garmin Zumo 395LM so I can play the music I have loaded on there and hear turn by turn directions. Original: This works great with my Kawasaki Vaquero! I have the factory ipod cable and when I plug this into that, I can pair my Samsung Galaxy S3 and S7 to it and play music over the speakers. I did need to go into bluetooth settings on my phone and mark the checkbox to play media over this connection. I can control the volume from the handlebars but the track forward/back buttons do not work. The display just says Aux. This is good enough for me because I mounted my phone in a waterproof Otterbox Armor case and then mounted that to the handlebars using a ram ball/arm. The phone and case itself clip into a slip grip brand holder which is specifically for the phone/case and has a ram ball on it. Very sturdy, waterproof, and I can control everything while riding. It automatically pairs when I turn the bike on and because this doesn't have a battery, it just turns on and off with the bike ignition. Simple setup and I like it! Audio quality over the somewhat so/so factory speakers seems no different from just plugging in an ipod directly.

Just got it, for now it works great
I had an iPhone 4 and bought the Bose sound dock as my main source of music enjoyment from it in my home . This was two years ago and recently as some people do just changed to the Samsung Galaxy 4 with my new contract. I was searching for deals on Bluetooth speakers at my local electronic stores. The ones I liked were expensive and in my opinion not all that appealing for that price. Lets be honest in the middle of Christmas I wasn't looking forward in overspending money on gadgets. I wondered into Amazon searching for speaker options and encountered the A2DP adapter. It seemed like a real option and the price justified taking a chance. I ordered it last week and it came in this afternoon. I am not up to date on all the new tech and had no idea what I would face, The package was very simple and easy to open, no scissors necessary. I took it out placed it on the dock and it lit up flashing blue and red light. I went to my phone searched for the Bluetooth option and it located it almost immediately and the flashing light turned fix blue . I search for my playlist and the songs were steaming and the music was on filling the room. Then I walked to the kitchen sat my phone down at a distance of approximate 45 feet with no trouble with the reception at all. Sound quality: There is always a some compromise on sound quality when it comes to wireless but it isn't worth several hundreds of dollars when you have a prior investment of a Bose SoundDock that can be enjoyed for years to come. For now , If you are in a similar situation there is very little to consider, the A2DP Bluetooth Music Receiver Adapter for Bose SoundDock Speakers is a viable option that will let you add years of enjoyment to one of the best home systems available that by the way cost you a pretty penny a few years back. Update: Only one thing that you might not like but for the price lets be real its MINOR considering this product is not one that was originally intended for BOSE systems: The device needs to be unplugged and reseated if the dock is powered down. But it does not make odd beeping noises randomly like a prior review stated. I have been enjoying music all morning and continue to say its a wonderful alternative to spending $ 199.99 on a new system that isn't any better to the one I already owned.

Simple, yet effective way to make old players new again
This is an amazingly simple, yet effective item. First, to address a few other reviews that were not so positive, they must not have contacted the seller about their concern. I did have an issue with the first item I received, but I communicated with the seller and he was prompt and helpful, resolving my issue. Buying from a good seller makes purchasing items like this online much more comfortable. On the item itself, it works great. My stereo and dock is located in one corner of the house. I can move around fairly freely on the same floor. I haven't tested full range because I do not have a clear shot to reach 60', but I have gotten over 30' away, even with walls interfering. I have other Bluetooth devices and the range on this item far surpasses them. One is a popular Bluetooth speaker that I love, but it can't compare on range. Simply plug in, find the item on your device (I've used it on iPod touch, iPhone 4 & 5, and iPad) and connect. You do need to disconnect other devices that might be in range before you can connect to a new one, but that's simple enough to do. Plus, the fact that it retains memory of your device is good so you don't have to constantly reconnect when you start it back up if you normally only use that one device. I've asked for another for Christmas but if I don't get it, I'll buy it myself. Can't beat this price for converting a 30-pin device to Bluetooth. Oh yeah, for those of you with an Altec iM7(white cylindrical speaker from 2006), mine did not work on that device, but I should have known better since the iM7 does not charge newer i-Products. However, the Bluetooth Music Receiver does work on a Gigaware Dock (Radioshack) and an Altec iM630. My guess is that if your dock will charge your 30-pin iPod touch or iPhone then you're probably safe and should give it a shot.

Does what it needs to
I was delighted when I saw the listing for this adapter. My Bose SoundDock still works like a champ, but years of plugging a repurposed iPhone into the 30-pin dock connector has taken a toll. And, I thought, this would let me connect other devices to the SoundDock via Bluetooth. The Good News is that it works just fine. The adapter itself is small, easy to plug in, and easy to connect to various devices. The instructions included with the adapter were *very* obviously not written by a native English speaker, but the oddities in the verbiage are somewhat amusing and the instructions overall were easy to follow. There are exactly 2 issues that prevent me from giving the BMR A2DP Bluetooth Adapter a full 5-star rating. 1) If the adapter is not actively connected to a device, it goes to sleep and the only way to "wake it up" is to unplug it, at least partially. The part of the adapter on top that looks like it should be a button of some sort is completely non-responsive. 2) Eight times out of ten, when I jiggle or completely unplug the adapter to wake it back up, the bottom panel comes off. It's easy to put back in place, and I could glue the thing in, but it's the principle. These are minor issues in an item that does exactly what it is supposed to do, allow me to connect my Bose SoundDock to a BlueTooth device so I can keep using it to listen to music, podcasts, etc. And for $20-25, I really have no complaints.

THE Perfect Solution!
This is exactly what I was looking for! I received a Bose SoundDock 10 System as a gift when I had an iPhone4. The SoundDock 10 has a 30-pin dock to accommodate the iPhone4's charging port and I used it nearly every day. Then, I upgraded phones to an iPhone5S (which has the lightening port instead of the 30-pin port), so my SoundDock 10 was no longer compatible with my phone. This adapter, though, has solved the problem and works incredibly well. It's effortless to use and performs better than I expected. You simply seat the adapter into the 30-pin dock, wait for the blue light to illuminate and give you an audible signal and you're ready to pair your phone via Bluetooth. The range is great - my SoundDock is centrally located in my home, but I can actually go anywhere in my home (even outside) and still have clear Bluetooth signal. Based on sound quality, I honestly can't tell that my phone isn't seated directly in the SoundDock ... it the perfect solution!

Was skeptical, but works flawlessly as described
I hardly write reviews, but I was doubtful this product would work especially with the horribly photoshopped pictures of their product on a Bose speaker. With all the good reviews I thought I would try it. I am not getting paid or anything free for reviewing this, although that would be nice. Right out the box I put it on my Bose SoundDock Series II (a version that will charge a 30 pin iphone or ipod). It starts to blink red and blue and there is a chime noise from the dock that it is connected. There are no buttons on this device to press. I went to my ipod touch 5th gen and turned on the Bluetooth, found the BMR device and connected it. The device starts to blink just blue once it is connected. Simple as that, the music started playing and sounded as good as before. Because I was curious, I disconnected the Bluetooth from the ipod and connected it to my LG G2 with Bluetooth and it worked just the same. So awesome! I love that I can use my Bose with anything that has Bluetooth now and friends can use it without needing an iphone or ipod. I also walked out of the room across my house and back and forth and it never lost connection. The only thing I noticed was the Bose remote wasn't responding as quickly as it used to and I would have to repeatedly press a button, but that's not too much of a problem since you don't really need the remote, you'll have the phone or mp3 player already at hand with you. I love this device and would recommend this purchase and would buy another if this one broke as it does seem a little flimsy.

Overall a good product, but lacks some functionality
I have this connected to my Bose Soundock 10, playing music through both an iPhone 7 and a Google Pixel using the Pandora app on both devices. In terms of ease of connection and music fidelity, I would give this 4.5/5 stars. It connected to the phones' Bluetooth effortlessly and the speaker dick charges this receiver as advertised. The sound quality is as good as can be expected over Bluetooth with good range, but I question the 70ft+ range. It loses a star for lack of functionality in two main areas. First, when I receive a phone call it does not automatically transfer to my phone speaker during the call...the call is broadcast over the speaker. Secondly, the remote control for the Bose only controls the power and the volume...the skip forward and back controls don't work for some reason. Last thing, as some other reviewers have pointed out, is that I have to remove and reseat this receiver every time I want to connect a phone, even one that is already paired to the receiver. I have not tried other similar devices, but I would recommend this device, but with limited expectations. For the price, not a bad product.

Good product, Great customer service
I ordered this for my Bose Sound DockDock that I bought in 2005. It produces great sound quality and was a little dismayed that it would not function well with the new iPhone versions (not at all with the iPhone 5). I shopped around for an adapter and this seemed like a good economical choice (in stores, adapters cost around $30). When I received the adapter, there was a note saying that it may require an additional power adapter - which was a little disappointing. When I contacted the vendor, they were more than happy to send me the power adapter on a trial basis to make sure it worked. I received it a few days later and the bluetooth adapter worked like a charm! Great sound quality and was able to pick up my iPhone from a pretty good distance. The only drawback is that it seems to "time out," so I have to unplug and replug it back in after a period of non-use. Not a big deal, really. Other than that, very happy with product - extremely happy with the customer service (I would give them 5 stars for this). This put new life into my SoundDock so I don't have to drop $300 for a new one!

Direi ottimo
