Brilliant !
I've been waiting for such novel for a long time, I think... It is a real treat for one's philosophical soul..for one's deep creative mind.Quite from the beginning, from the part when "THE BLACK AND WHITE"( Alex's written play ) takes place on stage, I felt connection with the book, I understood then -this is not an ordinary novel. It will make you think, it will scrub layer by layer to get into the deepest YOU , where you will meet every possible feeling of a man kind : love, hate, joy, grief, heartache, misery, pride, rage , disgust, desire, need, greed, frustration, fear, trust , betrayal, sympathy, guilt , curiosity, care, hope, determination ....Intriguing stories of each character from the beginning till the end, beautifully chosen words overwhelms - makes you live the story, engages you emotionally . Even the tuffiest ones, I promise, will not be able to fight their emotions in the last part - the culmination of "I , Destiny". It is beautiful ! it is powerful !! Philosophical observations will remind you or awaking you, might even change you .. Destiny is right here observing us, testing us , preparing us ,and waiting for the right moment to manifest, for the moment when , she knows , we are ready ..Deep thoughts, perfectly chosen words , intriguing events , beautiful story- GREAT GREAT BOOK ! It's now on the shelf of my favourites . I would ,definitely, like to watch in on a big screen.

Life is Art and Art is life ...
it's Sunday night,... couldn't sleep, just needed to finish this book that makes me thinking for a while since I started itLot of feelings... pushing me to say something about it till it lives in my thoughts wishing to imprint them in a deeper place of mindLife is Art and Art is life ...Common definition of people who wish to live their life at the fullest and without inhibitions, and more often highlighting a relentless rush towards the fulfilment of dreams not always achieved.Something new now...in I, Destiny Art gives back life! The Tramp who finds his way towards his reason for livingThe Innocence sculptured in the features of a beautiful lady - the kind of girl with whom most of us were in platonic love since our youth - transfigured by greed and corruptionThe Idealist-believer, who can only finds himself on the stage, claiming his greatnessThe Perverted Mind, semen of violence, who starts killing the love of those around him to feed his ego with hateSo many other characters, each of them could represent a stage of our own lifeAnd it all flows in a surprisingly emotional and powerful wayAlternating the real world with the Inner Ego world quite more powerful and conditioning than the real one -the so called inner voices... always remembering us that thoughts make the true matter -The reading of this book increases the level of our inner energy, as even though facing the unknown, with solid belief and determination, unexplainable negative events are there to make us stronger(Light often put us in front of Dark moments to help us to find the right way again -as continuously taught from my Kabbalah center teacher M.W.)A rare story to read and think about for a long time during our life journey, and with or without dreaming about Art.

One of my favourite books
I read I, Destiny some time ago, just as it came out. At that time I was a bit down, and started to read this book mechanically rather than enthusiastically. I finished it in two days, i just couldn't stop. The best way to describe it is as awakening that broke that darkness and changed my life. I have read the other reviews and I mostly agree with what they say. The way you'll perceive the message or prefer this or that character will depend on your emotional state as you read the first page, but whatever your perception or preference will be you'll be caught up by the reading. My view is that this book, more than trying to give us something enlightening, issues to think about and thoughts about our future, gives something many of us desperately need: we live, we dream and hence we are able to choose our own life path. Those who just live and dream will always have something to regret about: I would, I could, I should; those who, on the contrary, live and move their lives on through life's challenges will eventually destroy the barrier between essence and attitude towards the outer world opting hence to exist. I, Destiny is one of my favourite books, and I would unreservedly recommend it to everyone who feels there is something missing in their life and look for a reason to think positively about it.

Great book!
I bought this book planning to read it during the Bank holiday whilst chilling on the beach. I flicked through its pages whilst on the plane and I got hooked right away. It took me a couple of days to read it and I almost regret finishing it so quickly! There is plenty of things you might like. You just need to decide which character better reflects your personality. I liked Lisa a lot, the stunning yet superficial girl who thinks she can rule the world using her beauty but then remain empty handed because of her greed. I have been many times in the South Bank and I often wondered what history could those homeless people hide beyond their miserable appearances. It was nice to see that this book has tried to answer my question with the description of Travis, an old, miserable man Destiny has decided to play with. I have found this novel challenging and enjoyable until the last page. Highly recommend. Perfect as a holiday or a commute read.

London and free will
The story takes place in London. The description of the city is vivid, detailed, often accompanied by hints of historical background that play very nicely for the quality of the work. The description of the city, however, in combination with the narrative style, progressively characterises London as the only possible setting for the story in which many different aspects of the human nature emerge. The result is the origination of a novel that is cruel, romantic and dramatic at the same time. The link created between the initial acting and the underlying philosophical structure of the story creates a remarkable result.. The whole book seems, in fact, driven by the desire to offer a solution to the unresolved dilemma of the coexistence between the opposite driving forces of free will and determinism, anticipated by the short play (stunning) at the beginning of the novel. The final chapters are emotionally powerful and the solution to the dilemma is dramatically beautiful. A must-read, definitely.

Just so real!
This novel deserves a review and I hope to say enough but not too much. Soon after reading "I, Destiny" I happened to go to South Bank, precisely under Waterloo Bridge. Once there, I stopped near the bookshop market, which is where the story starts, for a few moments, just to find myself digging into the piles of books lying on the stalls hoping to find "I, Destiny". Then I eyed at the benches along the river looking for Travis, the tramp as it all seemed so real to me...story, descriptions and characters. I loved this book, it's an awesome reading and I finished it in less than a weekend. The mix between fiction and reality couldn't be better and as some other reviewers say, the conclusion is fantastic. A truly beautiful book.

A colourful, gripping and intense story about love and... destiny.
I don't read a lot of novels, so I did not know what to expect. This definitely was very different from what I've read before. I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable and well-written this book was. Very vivid descriptions of the characters and London, which makes it easy to relate to the story. The writer clearly has done a lot of research in order to make this book come alive. The philosophical approach to the story makes this a smart take on life, love and destiny. It leaves you pondering whether Destiny IS real... If you want to go for something different, give this book a try!
