This simplified yoga is a gift to your body
This is how yoga should be for most of us. I've always wanted to try yoga, but thought I would come away feeling more pain than progress. Peggy's video was the solution. She gears it for seniors, but it still works great for us younger people. My husband and I have been doing this once a week for a couple of months now. I couldn't do all of it to begin with, but now I can. This simple version of yoga is really a gift to your body. It gives your body what you need to be able to do your daily events. We have come away much more flexible and our bodies can handle being put through long hard days much easier. We can do much more than before and not feel sore & old afterwards.Peggy takes you through a number of segments that focus on different areas. It's gentle, yet extremely effective. It feels slow, but it really works for your body. She's very good at getting you to focus on your breathing as you do the positions - which unbeknownst to me actually makes a big difference. It takes about 90 minutes which to me seemed like forever, but after doing it many times, it feels like a nice 90 min physical and mental break from the day. She adds in a short meditation which is relaxing and beneficial.I'm the most impressed with how Peggy creates modified versions of yoga positions and has you do very simple prep work to get your body ready for the yoga positions. It's a great combination of stretching and strengthening.I enjoyed the segment at the end where she talks about her class and the students talk about what it's done for them. I was impressed that one of her students used to be a dance instructor and had to retire due to pain. With this yoga she has been able to go back to being a dance instructor.

Good pace. Relaxing.
Talks you through the positions slow enough so you don't have to look up.

Not really for the brand new yoga practitioner
this really isn't for the basic beginner. you need a certain level of flexibility, including being able to get up and down from the floor, to do these exercises. I did yoga for many years, different kinds of yoga, up until I was about 40, so I know what it takes to do some of these poses. I wish I never stopped doing yoga. Now I have a lot of stiffness, bursitis, early osteoarthritis, and so I am basically starting from scratch, but do believe yoga will help reverse many of my issues. If you are a newbie to yoga and older, I think you'd be better off beginning with some chair yoga, and working with an instructor in a group before attempting to do yoga from DVDs, so it's a positive experience.

This DVD saved me!!!
After many years of suffering back pain, one day I could not det out of bed.Physical Therapy, Chiropracter, everyone tried to help me, nothing can take my pain away.MRI confirmed L4, L5, S1' S 2, and Siatica are striking the same time.I stayed in bed for two months, the only time I can get out was to the bathroom, I cried when my feet touched the floor,One day I was flipping my remote control from different channels, The WEDCU was doing a fundraising, Promoting Peggy Cappy Yoga. I was curious and continued watching all the Testimonials. I found so much comfort in Peggy's voice, but I was not sure this yoga can help at all.A week later, with so much pain and difficulty, I managed to get to the computer to order this DVD.It came a week later, I watched Peggy and all the movements, I was so afraid to try....Another week went by, I managed to lay down all the floor , I listened to her instruction, started with the breathing...I was mesmerized by her voice... I was able to do a few steps... Exhausted....The next day, I tried again, another few poses...Two weeks later, I went back to work a few hours a day, and back to full time a month later. That was four years ago, I have been faithfully doing 45 minutes every day...I have not missed any day yet...I should have written this testimonial long ago....I am glad that I finally did...I share this information with anyone who suffered from back pain. This is my first Yoga experience.... You would appreciate to be pain free....Hope I will able to meet Peggy one day, her students are so lucky , and I am Too...

Very helpful to me, a beginner looking for PT after several back surgeries
I had a couple of back surgeries and was looking for a DVD that would help me keep up with the daily PT. I have been doing exercises from this DVD for about 6 months now. The DVD has been very helpful. It has variations for different levels of ability. The instructions are clear, the poses are reasonably simple to follow, yet there is room to grow and get better. I also like that the instructor (and the two people who demonstrate the exercises) look like real people, this is not a glamorous production with Hollywood starlets. After 6 months I have not gotten bored with the DVD and have been quite good at following it on regular basis. Exercises include stretches while laying on the back, on the side, on your belly, using a long strap, as well as breathing exercises. These stretches help me with back pain and I highly recommend this to anyone of any age who is a beginner.Ali Julia review

Pretty good
My first foray into Yoga. I liked the ch.13 KERA program. I wanted to try yoga but just did not want to go to some class with a lot of people. Peggy's voice is so monotone and quiet, that you fall asleep or, if you are a type-A person like me, you throw your hands up in frustration, scream, and walk away. The first couple of times through the video, I ended up letting it play as background noise while I worked on stuff because I couldn't stand the excessively slow voice and pace. After a couple of times like that, I finally slowed down enough to actually try the poses/stretches. They really did work for me and some of my back problems; I felt great afterwards. I found great humor in the fact that my two cats joined me, were stretching beside me, and fell asleep in one of the poses. This is somewhat indicative of the pace. The pros would be: the poses are good for anyone, the stretches really do help, it was worth the price to give it a try, Peggy seems to know what she's doing. The cons would be: the pace is so incredibly slow, her voice is too soft, too slow, and too monotone.

Buying my 2nd copy.....
Really great video,, I'm purchasing my 2nd copy as my previous one got stuck in my DVD player. I highly recommend this DVD if you find Yoga intimidating or have physical limitations (or are just out of shape, arthritic or elderly).

Very good restorative yoga DVD but maybe not for the inexperienced person.
I just used this DVD for the first time, and I will be using this regularly as it is very good. I have been doing restorative yoga for several years with excellent yoga instructors but wanted something to do at home. Having had excellent instruction before doing this DVD really helped as my instructors were very conscious of making sure that you didn't hurt yourself while doing the poses. That is one thing missing from this DVD -- not much talk about how to do this so you don't hurt yourself. Other than that, I would recommend this for yoga students with previous knowledge of how to do the poses without hurting yourself. One other thing you should be aware of is this is a long yoga practice if you do all of the parts. Thankfully it comes in several parts so you can do the just the parts you want at the time and depending on how much time you have for your yoga practice.

This DVD is excellent for stretching and strengthening the back and very useful ...
This DVD is excellent for stretching and strengthening the back and very useful for helping eliminate low back aches and strains. The pace is always slow and careful and Peggy's tone is soothing and nurturing.
