Imagine: Fun, Fabulous Layouts for Every Scrapbooker

This book has 50 imaginative 12x12 scrapbook (two-page) layouts with detailed instructions including paper cutting diagrams and step-by-step instructions. Dimensions are provided for each element. The Quick Reference section at the beginning shows all 50 layouts (conceptually) listing the number of photos that each layout supports. There are dozens of tips and “how-to”s throughout the book and “recipes” for every layout listing all the supplies used for each completed layout. The book has a wire binding so the book lays flat when open so you don’t lose your page. This book definitely helped me to take my scrapbooking to the next level! Highly recommend this book!

While I am not a big fan of CTMH's other products, Jeanette Lynton hit a grand slam with her series of Scrapbooking idea books. These books - Imagine, Cherish, Reflections, and now Magic - are part of my go to shelf whenever I am stuck for an idea for a scrapbook layout. Not only are there great sketches in there, organized in an index with the number of pictures in the sketch clearly labeled, but there are clear instructions on how to create special effects or techniques shown in these books (all with CTMH products, of course, but easily substituted with products from Stampin' Up! or mainstream B&M store product). My favorite thing about these books, however, is that in those clear instructions are the exact dimensions of each border and accent that you need to cut. The instructions show a sketch of the paper and how the cuts would be taken on each piece, making it easy to substitute your own patterned/designer papers and cardstock.How much do I love these books? When prepping for a scrapbook weekend recently, I searched and searched through the boxes we had yet to unpack from moving last Thanksgiving and could not find Imagine and Cherish. I immediately came to Amazon, ordered them and, with my Prime account, got them here stat!

Was recently at a crop with friends and one had this. I’m so glad I took the time to browse through it. It’s great for when I have a creativity block, and for new ideas. Love that it has exact sizing to make pages, so there’s no guess work required.

This book is great--I have borrowed my sister's for years when we get together to scrapbook and am glad to have one of my own now. It is so nice to have a book with endless ideas. Pages are never the same as you use different papers and embellishments. This book will be well-used and loved!

I am not a person who copies ideas out of books but this is helpful when it comes to the more technical areas of scrapbooking. It helps me to see at a quick glance the approximate sizes to use for embllishments ,pictures etc. for the size paper im using. The only drawback i can see is for scrappers who like to scrap in a more random way, my friend likes to just put things wherever, so she didn't like this book at all, i prefer orderly look for my pages and i love the book.

This is a fabulous book! I have so many papers and get lost in coordinating layouts and using them. The book gives examples with specific size cutting instructions for the papers and layout. First you choose how many pictures you have for the pages, then look at those full color examples. Just awesome -- can't say enough. Close to my Heart is the best as everything coordinates -- no more guesswork!

This idea book by Close To My Heart's Jeanette Lynton provides beautiful & unique page "maps" that are easy to follow & replicate. It includes detailed cutting guides for each 2 page "spread" & what makes it more versatile is you can rotate any page in either direction to accomodate vertical or horizontal photos and create a completely new perspective! Definitely well worth the investment, considering the infinite number of pages you could generate from ideas in this book alone! Love it!

Another great resource book for helping with planning layouts. Cuts down on time with all of her ideas and helpful tips. An abundant number of layouts, step-by-step instructions, and colorful pictures of the finished product.
