Is so cute..........
It looks like a toy, but it works great for those little spot cleanups. I have a big handheld vac for the big jobs, but this little thing takes care of 90% of the vac'ing I do on my computer desk. I had one of the expensive little rechargeable Dirt Devil vac's (looks like an upside down banana), but it was alway a pain in the a**. But when it finally it wouldn't switch on I tossed in the garbage, I went with this little "toy" and been loving it ever since!2/19/14 update: Well its been over a year now and I've used this thing on average 2-4 times a day and its still working great. I find that when its used properly it does a great job, but then again I'm not expecting it to pickup a Bowling Ball! One thing of note that I've found is that it picks up a lot of fine dust and that plugs-up the filter easily, so I clean the filter regularly and it goes back to sucking good. To clean the filter, I dump the container and then using a bristle hair brush, I sweep off the fine dust from the filter and it goes back to working good. Another item of note is: I've been using two good quality rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and they power this thing just great, so my cost for batteries has been minimum. When this thing wares out I'll be buying another one, because I having found anything out there that is comparable at any cost (e.g. the Dirt Devil I had cost over 3 times as much and it didn't work 1/2 as good)!!!

Effective Dust Mover & Battery Drainer
I am confused. Although there are many bad reviews about the ZOpid Mini Battery Vacuum, there are some people that state that this product is great and can easily suck up small dust and food crumbs. I decided to ignore that nagging voice in the back of my mind and pull the trigger to purchase this product. I had the realistic expectation that the ZOpid vacuum would not be able to suck up food crumbs, but I thought that it would at least suck up small dust particles, which is the main reason for getting this in the first place (the manual states that this vacuum is designed to suck up dust, food crumbs, small staples, and eraser residue).I now admit that my decision was an epic fail. This vacuum sucks, but does not suck! Most of the bad reviews quickly mention that this vacuum will not suck up anything, but do not go into any details. Thus, I originally thought that I was missing something and that this was perhaps user error on my part. First, I changed the batteries twice just to see if I was somehow using batteries that were not at full charge (I did not use rechargeable batteries). That did not work. Second, I tried to vacuum a small mound of salt on a flat surface since I figured that salt is the ideal size for a mini vacuum to pick up. That did not work either. Third, I used the two included attachments on the salt and on different objects with no luck whatsoever (I thought that the brush attachment was sucking up dirt, but found out that it was only moving the dirt or trapping the dust on the bristles). Finally, I ended up reading the manual and tried the listed recommendations. Basically, the vacuum hole was not clogged and nothing was inside the waste area even after trying to vacuum something. So my confusion then is why are there so many good reviews!? Did I get a dud or am I still missing something? It may be possible that I got a dud, but I can feel the very weak suction and hear the noise of the air suction so I know that it is working to some extent. One review mentioned that you have to cut the gray plastic flap at the front and remove the black cloth filter to improve suction. However, my thinking is that why would I have to modify my vacuum and void the warranty just so that it can work as originally intended? The gray plastic flap and filter were put in place for a reason (to prevent dust and such to fall back down when vacuuming vertically and to prevent particles to flow out through the vents). Furthermore, I highly doubt that the suction would significantly improve even if I were to make such modifications. Lucky for me, Amazon has a great return policy. The bottom line for any potential buyer is that you buy this product at your own risk.

FINALLY, one that gets the job done!
Rec'd this battery-operated vacuum today and just HAD to see how well - or not? - that it works. Annnd, I AM impressed! First, being battery-op'd makes a world of difference compared to other small vacuums with an always-far-too-short power cable. This one has decent suction and the brush attachment is always a great help with keyboards. I first used it on a keyboard quite thoroughly, and then did a couple sections of a desk drawer -crumbs and crud-dust galore. Decided to check the holding tank - or whatever it's called - and was a bit surprised with how much had been picked up practically filling the unit, all still with the same suction power it started with. I used a small brush to clean off the filter screen and finished the rest of the desk drawer. Next project: the main lavatory drawer! Too much fun! These would make great gifts, even for ones self. And "self" here needs a 2nd one for my town office. Great gadget! Thanks!
