Fun, easy, love the results!
I decided to “black out” my Chevy bow tie, but didn’t want flat black. This color is beautiful! My car is silver and it compliments it well. I didn’t realize the instructions on the can recommend applying over top of black plastidip to get the color of the cap, so I had to run out and buy black too (it’s cheaper on amazon then local car parts store FYI). I’m so happy with the results though!!! It was surprisingly easy to apply and turned out perfect. I would recommend YouTube tutorial first. It’s been about 2 months since I applied, and it’s holding up just fine to daily driving, rain, car washes, etc. honestly, if it does ever start to peel off, it’s cheap and easy enough to be worth reapplying!

Spectacular finish and super simple to use
I started with anthracite wheels on my silver Audi, and everyone thought they were black. Against a light color car, anything dark just looks black. Got 4+ years out of that dip until having tires mounted messed it up, so time to try something new. For the color in the attached pics, I swapped the typical black base for a gray base to lighten it up. I found basic colors locally for quite a bit less than I could order them, so shop around. The graphite is more of a clear with graphite flakes, so the base color will show through. My exact recipe was 4 coats gray, 2 coats graphite, and 2 coats glossifier (more for protection than shine). Do at least 4 full cans of base for it to peel right and cover once dried. When the cans get low, they can sputter a bit. Once that happens, use the remainder of the can to overspray on the tire sidewalls so it’ll peel off in one clean layer once done. This is a great product in the right hands. Do some research and watch some DYC videos before attempting. Your patience will be rewarded.

It has held up great, and takes well to touch-ups which I have ...
I have a white car, and the plain black Plasti Dip looked much too flat on my wheels. The metalizer completely changed the look, adding some depth and color, and generally making them more interesting. It has held up great, and takes well to touch-ups which I have had to do after some tire changes - a quick re-coat with black and a new layer feathered in with the metalizer and it looks good as new again. I would say it does seem to lose its sparkle as the months wear on, but a very light respray fixes that easily. Great product.

I really liked the color with the first coat
At first, I really liked the color with the first coat. However, I expecting more coats to bring more brightness that I never got from it. I watched many YouTube videos and the PlastiDip website which all recommended a Black base coat. Turns out, for the color I wanted, I should have had a white or silver base coat. It's pretty, but not as eye catching as I wanted. I'm considering peeling it off and re-doing with a silver base.

Worked great with base layer black plastisip base.
This worked out great with a black plastisip base on the accents of my son’s black Mazda. Very easy to use, just take your time and apply plenty of it. Looked so good I asked him to do the accents on my car also.

perfect
This plastidip is really nice. Tested this on some Bottle caps dipped in White and one with Black. The white plasti dip didn't yield good results. It just turned into a hazy silver color. On black dip tho, I have no idea how people are getting a matte finish. Im getting a slightly glossy appearance which to me is AWESOME since its a "Metalizer." As you can see in the pic the Text from the Sangria box is clearly visible. Maybe they're spraying it wrong or not wetting the surface enough. First two layers are your light coats(bonding stage) @ 80% transparency. Then I do a full coat on the third. Then the final coat I really wet the surface to the point its smoothed out. When it dries it holds most of its smooth appearance and leaves a slightly reflective shimmer. Probably closer to a Gunmetal color.

Great to coat existing Plasti-Dip, Especially on Wheels
I'm an avid user of Plasti Dip and often use it to paint parts of my car such as the wheels, chrome trim, and interior bits. While re-dipping my wheels this winter, I decided to coat them with this Metalizer to give them a more legitimate look and I couldn't be more happy. It works similar to the glossifier in that it emits a fine spray which goes on to coat existing Plasti Dip. I sprayed 4 coats of regular black Plasti Dip and added 2 coats of this product. Pros: - Gives a great, realistic metal look - Emits fine spray, easy to handle - Good value Cons: - Can run out pretty quickly

BUYER BEWARE! THIS IS A TOP COAT/FINISH COAT- NOT PLASTI-DIP COATING
This is a metallic tint that you apply after paining it with plasti- dip. Great way to ruin your project!

Love the way this product look over a Matt black but too much coats can make it look silver I think it look better with only a couple of light sprays over a base
