Great lightweight tent
We picked the Marmot Crane Creek 3P UL model during Prime week. Great tent but arrived damaged (tiny holes/cuts in rain fly). Waiting for replacement from Amazon. We’ll be using this tent for me and my wife and a medium dog, upgrading from old first-gen REI Half-Dome 3 (old version with tiny window and condensation issues) and a Trango 3 (heavy arctic all weather). Love the light weight, currently weighs 5lbs/1oz in it’s originally packed state (everything in without trying to minimize weight) and 5lb12oz with footprint (not included). Overall it’s very roomy and airy and light, tremendous upgrade from our old tent. Tent is mostly mesh, see through but not invisible, mesh is thin/light/stretchy, seems durable. Love the diffuser pocket on the top. Four decent sized pockets in the tent, one in each corner. Comes with six light stakes, four guy lines with four tensioner, a small repair pole tube (hope we never have to use). Roomier than what I was expecting. Looks like it will fit us all with some gear, backpacks stored in the vestibule area. Love the two door design, it’s symmetric, we each get our own vestibule storage space and our own door/exit.Bottom of tent is well sealed. We haven’t tested it in the rain yet, but other reviewers say this tent handles rain and moisture very well, so that’s good (if it doesn’t I’ll update this review).Incredibly fast and easy to set up and is mostly freestanding, except for rain fly/vestibule and guy lines. Set it up in my small living room in a few minutes. Intuitive, didn’t have to read directions. I like the swivel connector between the two main poles. Seems sturdy enough, but I hope this connector doesn’t end up breaking. The bad...Arrived with damaged rain fly (sections with small cuts/holes/lacerations, looks like a machine chomped it up). I’m assuming this is a fluke since I didn’t see this problem with any other reviews, and it was easy to replace through Amazon. It doesn’t have everything you need. You need to buy a footprint and more stakes, and you might want to buy an repair kit. Floor material is thin, so you’ll probably need to buy the footprint ($50) to protect it. You’ll need to buy at least four more stakes for the guy lines (I got a pack of MSR groundhog mini, $20, but you can get cheaper).Lastly, the floor and walls seem durable but very thin, which is great for weight, but I’m a little worried about our dog. We’ll have to be careful that she doesn’t rip through the walls or floor with her paws.

Great Tent, Misleading Posting
I am happy with the purchase though I have not properly tested it out so I cannot speak about my experiences. The specifications listed on Amazon are slightly misleading, so I attached images of the tag which better represent the product. I also measured the weight to be 2.36kg.It did not come with a footprint (despite being advertised as so), so keep that in mind if you are interested in it.I was hesitant about buying it given the negative reviews stating the false specifications, though with the true specs attached you can decide if the price is right. The current price around $400 is not a great bargain given the 3p Tungsten UL (the successor to the Crane Creek) can be found for a similar or cheaper price. However, if the price significantly drops to where it was before (~$170), I would not hesitate to purchase it!!

Love it! Perfect for stargazing ✨ + keeps the warmth in and rain out.
We love it! Bought this tent for family camping. We chose this model specifically for stargazing. We kept this one for us (2 parents) and gave our bigger tent to the kids. We had just a little room for a few small items with us in the tent (3 tiny people might fit in the 3P, but only 2 regular people for sure!), the rest was kept outside in a box under the vestibule so it was still covered. We had colder nights at 10•C, with both vestibules closed it kept very well the warmth inside. In the day, we opened both vestibules and had great ventilation to remove the humidity. For stargazing, we unclipped the rain fly half way to stargaze and quickly reattach it before going to sleep, the view was amazing with the soft wind. We also had episodes of heavy rain, not a single leak. Easy to set up, pretty light weight and compact. Very satisfied with our purchase! It’s our first Marmot and certainly not the last.

Product description not true - stay away.
I really wanted to like this tent, but I'm sorry to say, the other 1 star reviews are correct. There is nothing UL/"ultra light" about this tent - it weighs in about a pound heavier than listed - not any lighter than for example any comparable Big Agnes, Nemo, or even REI tents. Amazon and Marmot must be aware of this since the other 1 star reviews pointed it out already back in February and March of this year - but have failed to correct the product information on the site. Further on, it comes without the footprint said to be included (which besides it being wrong/fraudulent, adds another half pound when you add/buy one). On top of that, the design makes the rainfly hang directly on the inside mesh at the head and foot ends of the tent - and even if you could potentially stretch the rainfly out/away from the mesh - possibly by making extra guy lines yourself - the tent doesn't come with a single extra stake to do that. It's just plain bad. Anyone looking for an actual ultralight tent for backpacking should stay away from this tent - and anyone else, especially anyone camping with a car where weight is less important than sturdiness and comfort, would get a heck of a lot more bang for the 300-400 bucks this tent costs by looking at another brand - for example pretty much ALL REI's tents are better value. When calling customer care they acknowledged the stated max weight to be 4lbs and 5oz - footprint included - and that earlier reviews state this not to be true. Still nothing happens. Don't waste your time, just stay away.

No footprint, disappointing durability
I’ve always trusted this brand so I was excited to get this tent during prime day deals. Unfortunately it has fallen short of the quality the name usually conveys. The product description said a footprint is included. It isn’t. There were some minor runs in the netting after 1 use, and the fly tore about 6 inches after one night of wind. It wasn’t light wind, but it wasn’t uncommonly strong for MT back country either. I though it would hold up a little better being a “backpacking” tent. For arguments sake I will give props for how light it was even with the added weight from the footprint I purchased separately. Setup/tear down is easy, I like having two doors, and the color is better than the pictures. It’s not amazing, but it’s not the worst tent I’ve seen either.
