Has limitations under water with zoom lens.

Great product for keeping your camera dry. My G9 was in and out of the water with zero concern of water damage. Got fantastic pictures of green blobs, which in reality where sea turtles. Why were they green blobs? Let me elaborate. I used my 40-150 lens and when it’s inside of the Outex product and you submerge the camera it becomes impossible to use the manual focus. Put your hand in a plastic freezer bag and put it into a sink full of water. That’s what happened to my lens. Rewatched the videos and noticed a majority of the promo footage is centered around water and not submerged in the water. Reached out and had a frustrating texting session with the auto-bot that’s set up for customer service. The auto bOt was glad I was enjoying using the product. “ Glad you’re using the product successfully Patrick. Thanks for the feedback. As with most products, learning how to optimize it can improve over time. Cheers. Carrie.”. Expected more from the product but honestly it worked as promised. Kept my expensive camera gear safe from the elements. Just don’t be disappointed if you don’t get nat-geo quality pics when your in the Grand Caymans swimming with wild turtles. A prime lens might have been a better option but alas they don’t have a distributor there. I asked. Product gets praise for keeping the water in the ocean and not on my sensor. Olympus got my money for a TG6 and dive case. Was cheaper than the pro kit and dome and I ended up getting near nat-geo pics of stingrays and parrot fish. I honestly own some of the blame for not playing with the set up more before my trip and discovering the limitations. So if your not diving or snorkeling and want a dry camera this is a decent set up. Customer service could offer up a little more compassion lol. Nothing like being told your a jackass from a computer.

Difficult to set up, does not last long

This is a very cheap alternative to actual dive housings. But at $400+ a kit, it still does not deliver. It takes about 10 minutes to set up each time, if you practice.I ordered one 2 years ago and took a lot of AMAZING underwater photos (keep in mind that you can’t go very deep, since it is soft). After a few uses, I noticed several microtears spontaneously appearing all over the silicone housing, letting water slowly leak in, especially at depth. I emailed Outex and they immediately sent me a replacement. After a few uses of the new one, AGAIN microtears began appearing, this time even worse and actually getting my camera wet. Good thing I noticed it before it was too late.

Junk

Get a plastic bag and a rubber band. At least that way you can actually use your lenses. This provides a watertight one way ticket to frustration. No usage of your lens, no setting can be adjusted and you can not see what you're photographing. Just an all around bad idea of a product.
