Fresh Mamey Sapote (Set of 3)

2 of them came out kind or rotten already, very poor quality looked like it was growing mold and I pciked it up my fingers almost went through it. The 3rd one was not ripe at all super green still waiting for it to see if it will be good. Package came and was left out in the rain as well shipping company did a poor job. I have a lot of experience with this fruit and nothing compared to what I have been used to. I threw 2 of them away and left the not riped one. Waste of money...

This fruit is amazingly good! It reminds me of candied yams and sweet potatoes at your Thanksgiving dinner. Only this one is healthy for you & you can eat all you care for! The fruit is huge! It's so well worth the price. I highly recommend that you purchase your fruit from Tropical Importers because they are fast with their shipping, extremely courteous & respectful to their customers, and they understand the problems that arise when shipping produce. I live all the way up here in Alaska and these fruits are being shipped from Florida. I had a couple rot in the box by the time it arrived to me and I told them my problem and they were kind enough to send me more in place of what rotted. I was amazed because these fruits are expensive. They are even sending me different samples of other exotic fruits that they carry. Tropical Importers certainly gets my vote when purchasing fruit online. I don't know where else you can get great service like this especially long distance.

Over priced and bad taste

Loved it. I was craving for some Mamey in the US. It is very difficult to buy it in the west coast, so I decided to try it. It arrived in perfect condition, no damage to the fruit. They were big and ready to eat. Excellent flavor. It definitely hit the spot. It tasted like baked yam, but sweeter. I will buy it again.

The one that ripened was pretty good, but the other two still haven’t ripened. Maybe if I give it more time been almost a week.Edit, they ripened well. I came up with a process that really helped.They were too dry to ripen so at night I put them half submerged in filtered water, stem side down.in the day time I put them in the window in direct sunlight for 8 hours. Then at night same water cycle. I did this for 4 or 5 days.It was worth the wait. It wasn’t as good as the ones I’ve had in hawaii, but it was definitely worth it. I would buy again

Only the largest one was good. The fruit was creamy and delicious. The second largest was okay. The smallest one was no good. It was extremely hard on one side and the fruit never ripened. The product was not worth the money spent on it.

Good Sapote if you get a good batch. I did get a bad batch couple of times, where the fruit was overripe and rotten. Had to throw it away and what a waste of money at $15 a piece.
