no. T8 is significantly smaller

will this work on a 10 tooth go kart clutch

Tooth count has nothing to do with chain size. You need to determine if your clutch and sprocket takes a #35 , 4.0 , 420 chain

Is this chain meant to be shortened? links all bend as the pin pushes out. pins that got one pin all the way out and now it can't go back in.

The pins are not reusable that is what the replaceable link is for, I ordered extras so I could make several different size chains, I also use a chainbreak tool to push out the pins all of these parts are available on amazon
