RoadKing RK100 Wired Hands Free Noise Cancelling Headset

My family and I have purchased over a dozen of these recently due to the Illinois Handsfree Only laws for 2014. I have been using this headset for over a year now and I am completely satisfied. The volume in the ear peice can be very loud (a bonus in noisy areas) and it has a volume control on the headset allowing you to set it to a comfortable level. The microphone is very sensitive and is noise cancelling so it can be used in the car with the windows down or outside on a very windy day with little to no interference. I have had several people tell me that they are unable to distinguish between when I am using the headset or when I am not using it. I prefer to use it over the phone speaker itself because I feel that the headset sound is superior. I am using a Samsung Galaxy SIII on Sprint.

This product came at a good price and works great. I haven't had any issues w/it what so ever. I received the product on time. I gave it a 4 out of 5, because it being a wired headset sometimes can b a pain, but I would still recommend this to family or friends. Much safer and easier to use when u r driving, too.

It just does not have a very good sound. They can hear me well but I can barely hear who I am talking with.

Got this for my wife to use with her Nokia 820, the fit was so loose that the headset kept shifting around on her head with the slightest motion, she wasn't happy with the sound either. I tried them and had the same issue. These might be OK if someone is in a quiet area sitting at a desk, but if you walk around the house with them expect to keep readjusting them, and be aware exterior noise will overwhelm the speaker. Her callers also complained about "muddy" sound on their end.We ended up with a set of J-Lab in ear buds with microphone that have far superior sound, stay put and double as MP3 headphones.

Noise cancelling microphone does not work as it should. It sounds like you are talking on a bad speaker phone, with many words being muted out. i had very high hopes for this product,.. but it didn't work out. I am not understanding how several truckers gave this headset such great reviews,.. I'm disappointed,..

I've spent literally years trying to find a headset that works for me. I've used the most expensive bluetooth ones on the market, and frankly, they all suck. These work great, sound great, and I can expect 6-9 months out of them before they break. For $20, I just buy two or three at a time and throw them out when they stop working. I always keep 2 spares, though. Sometimes they break inside the warranty period - the factory has always promptly replaced them when I send the broken ones back in.

This headset works great so far. Unfortunately the included 2;5mm adapter did not work with my Samsung phone. I had to buy a Headset Buddy 3.5mmm to 2.5mm adapter from Amazon to make things work. I subtracted one star for that problem.

I didn't realize it had a wire and was not bluetooth until I received it. Its okay for what it is.
