ActivaActiv-Clay, air dry, 3.3 Pound Terra Cotta

I loved it and would buy it again! It does NOT make red stains on your fingers like some other cheaper air-dry clays that are available.It was my first time using clay to make models - the clay stays pretty wet while working and that lets you work slowly.It is a good idea to use plastic to cover unused clay! It takes a long time to air dry but that is okay - just make sure to use/make ahead of time!

I have used this clay numerous times, and find that it is the best overall clay to suit my needs It does not shrink as much as some other natural clays that I have used. It does tend to be brittle if it is dried in thin strips, so I apply a good water based varnish to my finished pieces to lessen breakage. This also makes the details in the art stand out better.It tends to be very wet when first opened, and I found that it took some practice to figure out how much drying it needed before I could begin working with it . I generally found that this was only a matter of a few minutes, which afforded no real problem.Overall, an excellent product.

Really an easy product to mold and was fun to deal with however I would say that 3 pounds of play didn’t go as far as I thought I would so plan accordingly.

I purchased this to use with our homeschool unit on clay pots. This was the perfect amount to make six medium sized pots. Very easy to use and dried well. Will definatly order again.

I adore this clay. I haven’t played with clay in 40years in school I love the color texture suggestions on Amazon and Pinterest everything. But it would not soak up my essential oils for my little project. I kept 1 for a keepsake threw rest away but I will buy again for other projects

This clay is really good quality. It stays nice and malleable if you keep the clay relatively wet while your using it. As soon as your finished with your project you can leave it out to dry and it will be ready by the next morning. I definitely recommend this clay to beginners (like me) or anyone else!

Packaging is not resealable and there was no info included, particularly suggestions to prevent cracking, which happened to both things I tried to make. Very disappointing. On the plus side, it was very easy to work with and didn’t stain my hands or the surface I was working on.
