Does the job needed!
I was worried when I read the reviews that this wouldn't be any good. But now that I have it, I can rebuff the other reviews. The screw at the top is unscrewable for a reason. It's the sealed part of the siren. The middle screw is what you want to undo and it releases the back so you can put a battery in and screw it to the wall. It's a simple alarm. You press it, it screeches. You turn the knob and it turns off the alarm again. It seems a good unit and a sensible price. I recommend it.

Simple, portable and plenty loud enough for a small construction site.
I have this as part of my Fire station, it s plenty loud enough on a small construction site - it is light and portable after all. Comments about the screw are incorrect - The instructions are poor, but it states you unscrew the bottom phillips screw only, the top one is a screw from within the case( not snapped). Once the screm is removed , you can the turn over and pull the outer and inner shells apart. Not the red plexy glass.

Great - does the job!
No issues with unscrewing, putting battery in and installation was easy. Does the job perfectly and easy to test by activating the alarm then simply twisting it to turn it off. I would recommend
