Big Speaker, Big Sound, great price, great value
By far the best Center Channel Speaker I have ever owned. The Speaker measures 24 inches wide and14 inches deep (front to back) and stands 8 inches tall at the front, tapering down towards the back. The quality in comparison to not just other Polk center channel speakers I own, but every center channel I have EVER owned is incomparable. Besides looking like a nice piece of furniture, it matches my other high end Polk Audio Speakers in appearance and quality of sound. The Beautiful Deep Cherry finish is immaculate looking. The Price on this, again, compared to my other Polk series speakers was in my opinion a bargain. Regardless of the volume being played through this monster, you can hear a pin drop at low volume watching television. Or wake the neighbors down the street jamming to a rock concert. The highs and lows this center channel brings to your system are simply awesome. If you want the very best, you want the Polk Audio CSI A6 Center Channel Speaker. it's worth every penny. Update: Since having this, a freind has purchased an entire Stereo Surround system like mine. Including this speaker, and all the RTiA7 Series Speakers.. I just purchased my second one of these. These are exceptionally good Center Channel speakers. I paid $239.00 for the first one, I got this one for $179.00.. If you need a Center Channel, now is the time..

Excellent Clarity and Tonal Range
I purchased this center channel speaker to match the rest of my Polk RTI series. The vocal range is clear and crisp with excellent vocal range reproduction during movies and music. I have RTI A7 for the center stage and its tone is well matched. Would recommend about 120hz crossover if used with a subwoofer. Pros: -- Beautiful high quality cherry finish -- Excellent mid-bass/mid-range reproduction. It does an excellent job with female's voices ranging from Adele to Alicia Keys. -- Angle Adjustment bracket assists in tilting the speaker downwards when placed above the TV. -- Banana plug binding posts worked great! -- Can be driven at high wattage without it even sweating so a good strong amplifier/receiver is recommended. Cons: -- Tends to sound a bit bright until broken in. It needs about 8 hours' worth of playback for it to normalize. -- Requires good solid amplification to make it truly "sing". -- Large speaker requiring a deep shelf. Speaker is about 15" deep; most large shelves are 12" deep. It also weights a bit so requires good drywall anchors to be used if shelf is not mounted on a stud. Summary: Excellent speaker with excellent vocal reproduction for music and movies

Massive Center
This is a great center speaker but be aware it is quite deep and very heavy. I have a heavy-duty equipment wall mount (obtained here at Amazon) that I used to mount it above my big screen. The top of the enclosure is slanted so you cannot put it under the screen and have the set sit on top. If you have a wall-mounted screen, it might be easier. I love the sound and the cherry veneer finish is beautiful I have a full set of matching Cherry Polks and they are furniture. Very handsome. (Be aware that Polk makes two kinds of speakers with a cherry finish. One is real veneer, which is what these are, the cheaper line uses a textured vinyl. The colors are nowhere close so if you care about matching, be sure to watch which ones you buy. The "cherry" subs tend to be vinyl!) The grill for this line is a joke though. Fortunately, I don't care to use them and store them in a closet. I pop them on when the relatives bring their kids over and take them off when the kids leave.

And having a pair of great vintage bookshelf speakers(rt7) that I am using for my ...
This replaced a vintage Polk Audio CS 350 LS. I was told by Polk techs that if I wanted to continue to use my CS 350 Ls speaker I would have to purchase the Polk Lsim 703 for "timber matching" speakers. I didn't want to spend $1200-1400 on a pair of bookshelf speakers. And having a pair of great vintage bookshelf speakers(rt7) that I am using for my main speakers, I didn't find that it made sense to purchase speakers for thousands of dollars to replace them. (don't get me wrong the Lsim 703 are better speakers than the rt7) So my concern was that the CSi A6 wasn't going to produce such quality sound like the CS 350 Ls center speakers. I was right but not by much. The timbre on the CS 350 LS did have a more natural tone and are much clearer than the CSi A6 but the overall quality including the bass was not much of a big difference. Which I kick my self in the rear to have purchased these when I could have just used my CS 350's and deal with not being timbre matched. The performance the CS1 A6 delivers will have you pleased. They are a better timbre match for my Rt7 and Rti a1(surrounds) than the CS 350 Ls. If I had to review these speakers based on just the speaker itself and not compare them to a "better" center speaker I would have been highly satisfied, and that is why I have given these 5 stars. So If you want to UPGRADE your center speakers to these you will be very pleased! If you have 'better' quality speakers do not purchase and get a better upgrade.

Looks fantastic and sounds decent as well.
Really well made center speaker. Looks fantastic but it is big so make sure you have space for it. Sound quality is a 3 or 4 out of 5. I returned it because my BIC/Acoustech PL28ll center Sounds better and was $30 cheaper than the Polk.

Outstanding Center Channel!
I have spent a lifetime as an audio engineer, I'm pretty tough on audio quality in a speaker. This one is pretty special, big headroom, extremely accurate, FFT analysis even confirmed such. Because of the pair of 6.5in low drivers, it reaches down low, great extended bass. Top end is smooth, extended, and open, doesn't need a bunch of boost, unlike other Polks. It's absolutely beautiful looking as well, and the price for this color was outstanding. The whole package!

4.5 stars - Great Speaker - Be patient With Break-in
4.5 stars Looks: Attractive cherry wood veneer. Seems and corners are well done. Very good speaker in the $150-$500 price range. Bass manage @80hz and you can achieve reference level volumes at about a 15ft viewing distance. -bi-amp capable as well. -Sounds great with modest power (65w RMS) , sounds even better with more power (100w RMS+). Give them adequate time to break in. I usually run my speakers full range as much as possible to accelerate the loosening of the spider of the woofers. I say about 30hrs or so of break-in for these to be able to accurately reproduce higher input volumes. Once polks loosen up, they sound great. Be PATIENT! Great for the price
Product looks great and adds a distinguished look to my living room. Keep in mind it’s 2’ wide and 1’ deep so make sure you’ve got room for it; a cool feature is you can turn it upside down and angle it upwards if you want. Or with the “kickstand” you can angle it down. I have Klipsch R-14s for my fronts and it seems like they’re clearer and more articulate but this does a great job. With 2 6.5” woofers it gets loud at all the frequencies I need for any apartment. It seems to match the Klipsch Cherry finish well too so with those it’s a perfect hi-fi setup for a low price. Make sure you use 16ga wire for a larger speaker like this.
