ZAGG Slim Book Go Wireless Keyboard Folio Case for Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2018 Version) - Black

I had another case with a more physical hinge but it broke twice (got 2 for some reason). I like that this has more magnets but it’s easier to hinge. I’m hoping that means it won’t break as easily. I like to use my iPad for working out and typing on, so I need it to hinge in different angles.

This two in one product is great. It lasts for a year or so with the stand but I’ve recommended it to everyone.

I've had about 5 Zagg ipad keyboard cases over the years. I love the old school Rugged Book for the older Ipad Air 2. If they would just make that same style for the newer iPad Pros, that would be awesome. I've had 2 of the Rugged Book Go's for my iPad Pro. The stand broke off of the back on both of them. So this time I tried the Slim Book Go. This one's definitely different from the Rugged Book. The keyboard is lighter and thinner and not as rugged (to be understood). The case that holds the iPad Pro is fine, not as much silicone around it, more of a hard shell but definitely ample protection. The stand on the back feels like it's just slightly larger overall than on the Rugged Book Go, but I can tell you still need to open it from the middle of the stand, or with hands on both sides to open it evenly so it doesn't snap one of the hinges. I think if they added a third hinge in the middle, or even two in the middle that would help. The only other thing I don't love is that the apple pencil 2 fits inside the case using a slot with a light magnet, but it doesn't feel super secure. And you have to move it to the other side (the outside) to charge it. Not a big deal, but if it could stay on the charger, that would help. The keyboard itself is great. It's comfortable to use and the keys have a good feel to them. Overall I'm happy with it for the price I paid and would recommend it if you're looking for good protection with a keyboard at a good price.

I wrote a review giving this 3 stars because it wouldn’t stay connected to my IPad Pro more than a day. But after talking to the Awesome Danielle over at zagg customer service, it now stays connected and works flawlessly. Note if you’re using other Bluetooth products like headphones, when you disconnect them you will have to power off and power on IPad before using keyboard again. I’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product and would buy again.

I purchase an iPad Pro for my wife back in February 2020 at a local Best Buy. Instead of an otter box case that we normally purchase for our Apple products she wanted a case with a keyboard. Best Buy had this ZAGG Slimbook case for $79.99 so we went ahead and purchase it. In late October 2020 the hinges broke like many of you have reported. We have many Apple products and take extremely great care of them. She babies this iPad and it’s never been dropped. Well she lived with it broken up until February of this year. She really like the ZAGG case so I purchased another one but this time from Amazon. Well today she open her iPad to load a Zoom meeting and the hinges broke again. The second case didn’t even last 3 months. She has another iPad that is used more frequently. So the iPad Pro sits in an organizer we have for our devices most of the time. They need to use metal hinges not plastic. I do not recommend this case unless you want to buy another one in a couple of months.

Not the quality of other models used when I purchased and used this brand. Hiccups when typing and using the space key. Using the space key sometimes causes the cursor to jump to other fields or too another part of the text that has been typed. Occasionally you can type beyond where you want the space then backspace and enter the space and continue with no problem. Other times when you type a space key the cursor jumps to another field (such as when filling out form) and you must resort to not using the keyboard and must use the apple on line keyboard.Couldn’t/wouldn’t use this for work, but suffices for a cheap keyboard for personal use.

I'm enjoying this great keyboard and at a fraction of the price that it was at other retailers. I have to say though, this is my second one because the first one's stand broke a little over a year after I bought it. I purchased this one because of the price and I really liked the first keyboard. I'm hoping it's not a material quality issue but rather just a defective one.

case is exactly what I was looking for. The only "knock" on this case is the stand does not keep the ipad from moving when using the touch screen (it kind of bounces when using touch), but I can live with that.
