Good pump
Great value, works well. I am using it in water butt's to water plants with the hose. No massive pressure but it is good enough for the Job.

Excellent bit of kit
I bought this to empty my hot tub. All of the downpipes go straight into the ground, I have no grated drains to syphon the water into and there is too much water to just empty it out onto the grass. I attached a bit of hose and hooked it through the window. The pressure that the water came out at was unbelievable. The hot tub, other than the very last dregs was empty in no time. Powerful bit of kit. Money well spent.

Good for emptying hot tub
product does a good job speeding up the process of emptying our hot tub. Did cut out a couple times during the process due to the way it was floating but in the main it does its job well

A must have piece of kit for anyone with a hot tub or large pool
This pump is a doddle to use. I used it to empty a hot tub. I bought the flat blue hose and hose clips to go with it. A job that takes an age manually was all finished in under half an hour. Only a small amount left where the water level was lower than the intake on the pump. Highly recommend.

Unusable - doesn't come with hose
Completely unusable as it doesn't come with a hose and doesn't fit a standard hose size. So now to use it, I have to try and work out what hose to buy that will fit it!

Much more powerful than expected
I needed this to empty a very small garden pond which had been taken over by a mallard and her 11 ducklings. The water was quickly badly polluted and had to be replaced. The first time, I did it by hand, a very slow job. This pump made it much easier and less messy on subsequent occasions. If I were starting out again I would not buy a flat exhaust hose because the associated kinking slowed the process considerably. Round hoses are more expensive but worth it unless you have a dead straight run from pump to the point where the waste water exits. This includes the ability to run the hose over an edge such as the surround of a paddling pool. A flat hose will tend to kink.I found the float which controls when the pump turns off to be a bit of a faff as it seemed to be activated at a greater height than necessary and so needed to be supported until the appropriate depth of water was reached. Sometimes the pump could be heard working but nothing emerged. The answer is to tip it over to get rid of all of the abundant air which seems to be easily trapped in the base.A worthwhile piece of kit if you need to empty a volume of water on a regular basis.
