ODYSSEY LSTAND360 DJ Gear Stand

I recently began using MainStage with the Roland RD-88 because I wanted to incorporate higher-quality sounds for certain gigs, particularly orchestral performances. I was worried, however, that having a laptop onstage would be a distraction for the musicians around me, could potentially block line-of-sight to the conductor, and would represent a tripping hazard. Those concerns ruled out tripod-style laptop stands, so I began exploring the possibility of a DJ laptop stand. I settled on the Odyssey because it extends a bit higher than some similar stands, is extremely lightweight, and has received many positive reviews.After using it on a few gigs, I couldn't be more pleased. No one had any issues with its on-stage footprint, and tucking it under the corner of my keyboard reduces the tripping hazard. And its top position is high enough so that I can easily lean over and make programming adjustments on the laptop.Some reviewers have expressed concern about the sturdiness of the unit. It is a combination of metal and plastic and not designed to support more than a typical laptop, so I'm sure it could be damaged with enough force. But the build quality seems quite good, and I suspect that if used and cared for appropriately it will last a long time. And while it obviously doesn't provide the kind of stability that a laptop has when sitting on a desk, I found that I was able to type and perform normal programming operations without any difficulty. I also had no trouble getting the stand to "lock" in the topmost position, and never felt that my 16" MacBook Pro was in any danger of tipping over or sliding off the stand.

This stand is incredibly portable and works great. I love the legs at the bottom being flat because I slide it seamlessly under my Rane One controller. If your controller has about a 1/2in of height to it, this will fit perfectly underneath it.There is however, one slight design flaw to be aware of. Basic physics could cause potential accidents with your gear. Here's what I mean; the vertical legs can be adjusted to lean either a little forward, a little backward or straight up. You have to make sure to find the perfect balance and center of gravity or your gear can flip if your legs aren't balanced correctly.Not a big issue overall and still give this stand a high rating, just something to be aware of.

The feet of this case do not fit under most Professional DJ flight cases, to INCLUDE those made by Odyssey!!!Its a sturdy stand, I can't detract from that at all, but how the heck did it not integrating seamlessly with peoples setups and cases get vastly overlooked?

I have the UBER stand, Crane stand and some cheaper ones. This is by far the best laptop stand for DJs. Very sturdy even though it is super light. Locks in place tightly. Very adjustable.They also give you rubber stick on which I used on the arms the laptop sits on to give it more grip. And I used some on the feet to keep it from slipping. Definitely a good buy.

I've been looking for a stand and the Odyssey works great. After using it for several months I'm still a fan The only detractor I find, is that if I exert too much pressure when I type, and I have it set on the tallest setting, then the stand will lower to the setting below. This startles me every time and it is quite annoying. So I have to be careful and sometimes use an external keyboard if I want to use the tallest setting. Overall, if I could I would give this product 4.5 stars because it is almost perfect. Full disclosure I'm not a DJ and I use this stand as a standing desk for my academic work.

This is now my favorite stand. Light weight and sturdy. Comes with a sleek neoprene carry case instead of a nylon bag like the other stands. Honestly everything else feels stupid heavy and no more sturdy than this. Recommended for anyone touring with music gear or if you just need to get a laptop up to bar height from a standard table for ergonomics sake.

Not one to use the word 'perfect' loosely but this stand definitely deserves that moniker.It is everything it is described as in the product description and i literally have zero complaints.ProsBoth sets of arms swivel and lock in 2 different directions making your configuration options unrestricted.It is sturdy and holds my 13 inch macbook and 17 inch HP with no issues.My favorite part is the height adjustment. There is a comfortable setting for everyone.Update : In the market for a 2nd laptop stand for when I'm doing video projections and I purchase a 2nd one today Dec 29,2023.My first unit still works flawlessly and unlike some buyers alluded to, mine stays locked in position even on the highest setting.
