Dogs in Jumpers: 12 practical knitting projects

This is such a lovely book, with some very beautiful jumper and coat patterns for dogs. Such cosy, cuddly designs. I have the original book and this is an upgrade of that book with some adaptations and new patterns and layout. I love the intro stories about each of the dogs who are modelling the designs. One very minor gripe, and certainly not worth losing a star for, is the A - neck, B - length , C - shoulder and D - chest measurement guide on page 79, it would have been easier if the patterns gave the size measurement in this same order, so when you look at the sizes they relate to the same order of those on the bit of paper in your paw with your own dogs scribbled measurements.For one book, this has the most beautiful dog jumpers I have seen, and all in the one book! My Parson Russell terrier, who feels the cold terribly come winter in our big old Victorian house, is going to love his new wardrobe for this winter. I might actually be able to cook at the Aga instead if working round a dog lying up against it. If your dogs measurements differ from your chosen pattern, there are helpful tips on the last page of the book on how you might adapt. If you love dogs and love knitting, this book should be in your knitting book library. I highly recommend. I did look through every pattern for dog coats on Ravelry, about 8 pages worth if I recall, this is stuffed with much better patterns.

Loved this pattern book. Easy to follow

Liked the jumpers but was under the impression they were all whippet/greyhound patterns and as they are a mixture of different breeds I was a bit disappointed in the number suitable for my whippets. The pattern is good and I have made one which I’m very pleased with, just would have liked a bit more choice.

What an amazing find for a whippet owner who loves to knit. This book is wonderful it's beautifully illustrated, stylish and easy to follow. All the patterns are different with different ability levels so it doesn't matter what skill set you have there is a pattern for you and if you are a novice like myself it will help you improve your skill set with all its helpful tips. I tried out the textured patchwork blanket first and my dog loves it. I can't wait to do a jumper from the book and because it has clear sizing instructions and patterns for different breeds of dog I can see all my friends dogs getting jumpers for Christmas.I would highly recommend this book.

I am going to use this book for my two dachshund, only Teddy's neck is 16"41cm. It's not fat, it is a gorgeous little book with a lot in. Sorry about the shaky photos.

Lovely little book. Just maybe not for beginners as it claims. Patterns are not that easy and the scaling up and down for sizes is beyond my capabilities!!!

I think the patterns are beautiful, but Joy and Ezra may not agree. I had not even had the chance to knit a single one of the patterns before they chewed it up. I did get the chance to look through the book and from what i saw the patterns are very beautiful and the instructions are clear and easy to read. I still have half the book, so I will just have to make do with that.

This book has the best patterns for all size dogs, the patterns are well written and a pleasure to knit. Anyone wanting to knit jumpers for their own dog or to donate to their local pound or rescue group should have this book, it's amazing. There isn't a pattern in the book that I wouldn't knit!
