Great book for 3rd grade readers
My grandson has read all the dogman books. So I tried this series to see if you would like it. There's more content than the dog man books so the last longer and he absolutely loves them. He's already on book two and was reading past bedtime on the first book.

8 year old and Mom Approved
Not a book to read but NOT DISAPPOINTED! My 8 year old LOVES this book series He thought it was another book in the series to read. This book is more like an activity book that involves drawing and coming up with survival ideas. My son loved it and itโs been keeping him busy for a couple of weeks now!

Good companion book.
My 8 year old son who is an avid reader and loved this series really enjoyed this companion book. It was what he carried around with him for weeks after Christmas. He did the activities and I think it brought the books to life that much more for him.

10 year old boy LOVES these books
These are a pretty simple read for a 10 year old. My son can get through them pretty quickly, usually in a night or two. But he comes back to these over and over. I would definitely recommend this series for kids in that 8-11 range. Even if it's an easier read for them, if it catches their attention and makes them want to read, it's well worth it!

A good quality activity book
My 8 year old loved it. We thought it was more of a field guide, but when we opened it, itโs full of activities and โcreate-your-ownโ prompts, but still in a nice hardback book form.

More like a diary
This is not actually a book with stories in it but more like a diary or a DIY survival guide. Most pages have some sort of space that asks the reader to fill in. It has questionnaires, sketch spaces and puzzle type challenges. I ended up buying one for each child in my household because this is not something they can share like they canโt share a diary. The way itโs organized prompts the child to make it their own without being overwhelmed. A good and fun use of time.

Full stop on other presents
Our grandson stopped opening his other presents and immediately began to read The Last Kids. His father had suggested that his boys enjoy this program so this activity book seemed especially appropriate.
