GOOD & PLENTY Licorice Fat Free, Candy Boxes, 6 oz (12 Count)- I like these but I get tired of buying them sometimes at the store and when I open them, they're old and hard.- I opened a box after delivery the other day and the candies were SO soft. I've NEVER gotten them like that before. What a delight. I didn't even know they could be that soft.UPDATE: I bought the same thing (12 boxes of 6 oz ea) one month later. They are terrible! Outer shell will crack your teeth, inner licorice too hard to chew. Not worth the money.- When I ordered this time, I set up a subscription. I'm cancelling it! So disappointed.

Very fresh tasting and a great price for the large quantity. The 5lb option comes in a non-sealable plastic bag so be sure to have your favorite airtight candy container ready to store them in once opened.

Great price, and the product was tasty soft and chewy.

This was one of the best purchases I have made. This candy tastes and smells great. I think the black licorice flavor is addictive. There were no broken pieces or fragments at the bottom of this bottomless 5 lb bag of candy. I think it is commonly accepted among the boomer generation that the texture is softer than it was historically.

I love Good and Plenty. The licorice was SO fresh!! When I buy small boxes the licorice is hard and not fresh. I love this purchase of fresh candy!!

Just a warning to buyers and Amazon. I received this item along with two other candy items, in the same box. The box was received in good condition. The three food/candy items appeared to be in good condition. However, I did not apparently check my Good&Plenty bag very well. I initially cut a small hole in my 5lbs bag to enjoy some of the candies. The candy was good, as it usually is for me. I have had this item on a few other occasions. My problem, which could possibly affect some other bags of this candy, is with the packaging. I was carrying the bag by the top seal when the whole back seal of the bag opened up, causing all the candy to dump upon the floor! The bag did not tear or rip at the top or bottom heat seal, but at the length of the rear seal. Not how you want to eat your Good&Plenty, unless you eat like a dog from the floor! Perhaps my bag alone was faulty, but just in case you order it, beware of the bag's integrity so you are not having a mess to pickup! I gave 4 STARS because the candy itself is a quality product, despite the faulty bag!

These are the best I have received so. On time, not ripped open and they taste fresh first time. Thank you.

WARNING: BROKEN TOOTH !! This candy is rock hard. I suspect that there is something wrong with this batch. It feels stale. I have purchased the candy multiple dozens of times in my life. Probably more than a dozen times through Amazon. It is normally semi-soft, supple with the candy coating dissolving in my mouth. Not so with this batch. The candy coating shatters like broken glass. The licorice is very very hard. You could probably drive it into a two by four piece of lumber if you had a hammer.
