It smells very nice. It is not an everyday wear cologne. It is definitely for dates or special occasions. It has a really nice smell that is kind of like a vanilla? I think? Whatever it is, it smells nice. And the bottle is really nice.

I'm very surprised to see so much positivity for this scent. To be clear: it's not bad. In fact, it's clearly very good, it's just the type of scent I thought went out of style in the 1970s with the advent of the musk and sandalwood forward hyper-masculine orientals. Bay rum scents are the kind of splashes your grandfather would wear, if you grew up in the 1970s. Or the 1770s... Still, they are always popular amongst the wetshaving community, so i suppose it was only time that this scent profile would get retooled for the larger fragrance market. Now, I am a fan of Nathalie Lorson. She made one of my absolute favorite scents with Encre Noire a l'extreme.. and though this is very well made and balanced (more so than the new iteration of Royall Bayrhum 57 for example), it's just a bit underwhelming to me. What this adds to a simple bay rum profile is nice: There's a good kick of pepper in the opening which dries almost immediately to more woody goodness. This will stick around for awhile along with the clary sage, giving almost barbershop vibes every once and awhile. There is (to my nose) a dark powdery note enhancing this effect. Maybe the incense? The benzoin, cedar and patchouli are noticeable to me and make for a great base that I really love. In fact, The drydown of this fragrance, i must say, is phenomenal. This is heavier than most bay rum scents and will last a fair amount of time. It's not a sillage monster, nor does it last forever, but by the time it is a skin scent, it is delicious. Ask me next month and i may be addicted, but for me right now, this is a staple scent i wouldn't wear in a formal setting. For a night out or a day exploring, it's perfect. I love amber-benzoin fragrances and this fits somewhere between the really oriental Moustache EDP and the far more aromatic Bijan. I just find myself reaching for those more.

This is some rich smelling cologne. I sprayed some on my neck. And then about an hour later took a shower and I still smell rich! This was a great purchase. Good price point. Smells fresh. And the bottle design is fancy. This is a parfum so it will last all day.

How to describe it? Well, it does have a unique expensive smell to it. But it’s more like a high cost fragrance that you wonder why they would make something so stinky? Like something Tom Ford might come out with, but it never sells compared to their flagship fragrances. I would say this is a little bit on the weak side for EDP concentration, it lasts about as long as most EDTs last on my skin. Which is to say - not exceptionally concentrated. It’s very woody, very musky, although the stale moldy smell fades with time. It’s not not a top choice for me. It would be better for winter time, not summer. I wish I could return it.

Bought this fragrance without first sampling on the skin because of all the great online reviews. Classy packaging. I must say that I certainly do enjoy the scent. This is STRONG and masculine. Watch YouTube for descriptions. One must be confident to wear. It lasts longer than more mainstream scents. I even took a shower after wearing and I can still smell the aromas. Such a unique scent for the winter. Not ideal for the younger man. Better suited for older gentlemen over 40 who often like to "dress it up". This somehow truly captures the brand image of Bentley Motor vehicles. It absolutely does give an image and feel of Luxury despite its value price.
