Review Yash Chopra made Kabhie Kabhie with a theme that he is good at i.e. Love. The movie starts with the song Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shaayar Hoon and, ends with the song Main Har Ek Pal Ka Shaayar Hoon. What lies between the two songs of the poet is a well told love story spanning two generations that shows the transformation of the poet from Pal Do Pal Ka Shaayar to Har Ek Pal Ka Shaayar. There are seven main characters and, all of these characters are natural and realistic that audience can feel each of the characters emotion and associate to them. Amitabh, Rakhee, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Naseem, all of them have acted very well; but it is Amitabh who steals the show. Parikshit Sahni and Simi Grewal have supported well as the foster parents of Neetu Singh and, Deven Verma provides the comical relief (given a few scenes he leaves a good impression). Yash Chopra has handled the theme of the movie very well and, has directed superbly. He keeps the story telling simple and linear, develops each character very well, and never goes far from the crux of the story even when touching issues like premarital relationship. Though brief, he also captures the capital Delhi nicely. Kabhie Kabhie as Yash Chopra's best movie until now. He did break the grounds with Lamhe in terms of story but he is yet to surpass Kabhie Kabhie as director. Music and songs have always been the strong point of Yash Chopra's movie. Kabhie Kabhie is among the top ones in that list. The credit goes to both Khayyam and Sahir. The songs melodiously rendered by Mukesh, Lata, Kishore and Pamela to date are chart busters. At the time when Kishore's voice was getting associated with Amitabh, Khayyam broke the trend by using Mukesh's voice to capture the soul and the depth in the poet's (or Sahir's) lyrics. As a whole Kabhie Kabhie is one of the best movie that has graced the screens of Hindi cinema." --imdb.comYash Chopra made Kabhie Kabhie with a theme that he is good at i.e. Love. Good buy for those who love a good love story Review: Great Few minuites - I bought the movie because of the nature's scenes, Amitabh's dialog, poetry delivery, and the song (kabhi kabhie). It was well worth it. I didn't like the rest of the movie except kabhi kabhie dialog in an interview, and Amitabh's dialog to Shashi Kapoor about badi himmat chahiye ... The blu-ray also made lot of songs very scenic. I moved to US in the 80s when everything was on VHS and copied by the store owners many times. By the time we got the rented tape and watched it, it was hard to make out any faces. I stopped watching many movies until the mid 90s when DVDs came out. Everyone in college were fond of Kabhi Kabhie because of the songs. It was fun watching it again.

Fall in love with love
I watched this movie after reading that it inspired many Bollywood actors (including SRK). Kabhi Kabhi has a little bit of everything - love, young love, dreamy love, love denied, and developing love. Although the movie is on the long side, the story keeps one involved and entertained. Compared to more recent movies, the special effects are very dated; however, the love stories of the main characters are engaging. Take a chance on love and watch Kabhi Kabhi.

A film that was ahead of it time, as mentioned by Yash Chopra and a daring move that Amitabh had made from this 'Young Angry Man" to this romantic lead. Such a soft film that deals not with anger but with the Heart and the lives of people. All the cast, Waheeda Rehman, Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rakhee, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were great in there roles and a special appearance from Iftikhar. This was an era when Bollywood started to change and talents such as Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were raiding and exploding on screen, Amitabh too.

There is no doubt about the movie, and need to say about it. I would like to share something about the Blu-Ray Disc. Movie transferred (or can say recorded) as 4:3 aspect ration. It is not pure 4:3, it is transferred as 16:9 but movie screen is 4:3, so you will see black strips on both sides(left/right). In the movie we can see the logo few times which is going outside of movie (on the black strips which are on sides). But the transfer quality is amazing, I wish if all gems movies like Sholay, Deewar, Trishul, Kala Patthar etc release on Blu-Ray.
