It replaces the stock Picatinny rail adapter with a low profile mount for M-Lok handguards. The mount is especially useful on handguards that feature 45 degree angle mounting flats, such as the Geissele SMR MK8 and ALG Defense EMR M-Lok. When used on a 45 degree angle mounting flat, the Inline Mount allows the user to position the light closer or farther away from the top 12 o'clock rail to give clearance for front sights or other accessories. Three positions are provided, allowing an offset of 0.12" to either side of center. The base of the Surefire Scout Light sits 0.2" above the KeyMod mounting surface. Installation tip: In order to reduce the overall length of the mount as much as possible, it is necessary to unscrew the tail cap of the light to access the front-most mounting screw. Compatibility with front sights varies depending on mounting location on handguards with 45 degree flats and specific front sight in use. 1. Top left 45 degree flat: Most sights work, including MBUS Pro, Knight's Armament Micro, Troy folding, and Diamondhead. MBUS Gen II work if positioned to allow clearance for the release tab. 2. Also not sure about the Magpul sights fitting, not likely. Try the Arisaka Offset Scout mount or the Side Scout Mount. **Q: So does this come with rings to mount a light in it or not? I just want to make sure I understand what I am buying.** A: This does not come with any rings. It is holed so that the Surefire Scout or Streamlight ProTac lights will sccrew right onto the mount using the screw/bolt holes on the bottom of the light's mount after removing the stock rail mount from the light. I actually use it with a ProTac 1 on my Saint Pistol - at the top-left 45 degree angle; works like a champ! **Q: How do you actually mount the light to the rail? I can't seem to find anything that comes with the hardware** A: I used this with a Streamlight ProTac rail mount light. I removed the picatinny mount that was installed on the light, and replaced it with this to mount in the M-Lok slots on the handguard. Holds the light closer, and I was able to put it on the 45 degree section of the rail. The screw holes are standard Scout light pattern. **Q: What size Allen is required to tighten down screws?** A: It’s not a Allen. Is a torx bit. Great purchase Perfect fit! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great “light bar” mount *by D***N on 14 March 2026* Great mount adds options for mounting on many setups ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfect with Streamlight *by R***D on 28 July 2021* I have an M-Lok handguard with picatinny only on the top and nothing resembling a picatinny "ledge" on the side I wanted to mount it on. I was mounting a Streamlight Pro Tac 2 light with the tape switch. Installation was easy, just unscrew the 4 screws which hold the Streamlight picatinny mount to the light itself and replace with the Ariska scount mount and included screws (I used some Loctite at the recommended torque setting Ariska had on the packaging). The only thing that befuddled me slightly was how I was going to tighten the light/scout mount to the handguard since the screws (hex head I believe) were covered by the light but then realized that the M-Lok mount end is designed to go toward the receiver side and you simply screw off the end cap of the light to give yourself access (the directions aren't clear on this and I didn't take time to youtube it; how hard could it be...).
