Great book for those that love firearms!
While, I was hoping for a little information on Firearms and sound suppression, what this small book had was a vast assortment of Firearms related info I never knew, or I had never heard a sensible explanation for. I'm honored to have this book in my collection of Firearm related material. The in-depth coverage of sound, how its generated by Mechanical Sound, Supersonic Sound and High Velocity air was amazing to learn. I've read many books, pamphlets and articles before...But never have I had my questions of this subject answered in such depth and with such clarity as in this book. I have read, re-read and re-re-read this small book many times. I have some many highlighted areas it looks like a yellow marker blew up on this book. All great data to have and to know, from how sound is heard, what makes the sounds we hear, as related to Firearms, and how bullet weight and velocity are related. I have never had so many questions answered in one sitting with one book. It's a must have for anyone interested in the mechanics of Firearms, The art of Sound Suppression, Reloading for both Sub-Sonic and Sonic applications, The Complexity of Sound, or any number of other interesting and amazing facts in this book. Highly recommended....

Sound Introduction
Sound IntroductionMark White's "Tactical Use of Low-Signature Weapons for Military and Police" is a compilation of a series of vignettes on suppressors, flash hiders, various specialty ammunition and weapon fabrications/modifications. A majority of the vignettes read like magazine articles and are anywhere from a paragraph to a page or two in length. The book does have a lot of interesting tidbits of information, but most are just not as in-depth as I would like. Also, for being as short as the text is the book could have been footnoted and/or had a bibliography to delve deeper into some of the subjects. However, if you are looking for a quick read to stimulate thought through the various subjects covered, then you will enjoy this book. The author definitely has a firm grasp of the subject and has a pretty good writing style, making the book easy to understand and read. Overall, this is not a bad book, but definitely not an academic study of the subject.

Don't waste your time or money.
This book contains a collection of well know information, obtainable from other books or the Internet !The book is written in a very bland un interesting fashion, supported by very limited picture ( at the rear of the book )Quite simply, there is nothing in this very small book that is not freely available from much more detailed Internet sites.Further more, I am convinced the other 5 star reviews, were written by over enthusiastic teenagers, or paladin press employees.I will be seeking a full refund from Amazon. You have been warned !

Will be seeking a refund.
This book is written as if it were as a grade school book report. Not only is it painful to read, but there is very little worthwhile pertinent content. The author prefaces the book by referring the reader to websites to learn about the subject matter.Saying it's an introduction to low signature weapons would be up-selling this pamphlet.

Good reference!
If you are considering a suppressed system in your arsenal then this is a good place to start. Mr. White is particular in some things but gives you an overall reference guide. This is worth the money for information before you shell out a lot more for a suppressed system.

Fantastic book on the science behind the phenomenon of suppression
This book has really opened my understanding! There's really very little out there that actually explains the mechanics behind how suppression works. This book is just outstanding. A true must-have, must-read for the serious marksman.
