Tusk Motorcycle Wheel Balancing and Truing Stand

Very well priced and worked excellent to balance my r1 wheels.

I'm currently working on a motorcycle restoration and rather than spend $250.00 to have a shop true and balance my wheels, I decided to do it myself. Luckily this was on sale for $38.00 instead of the normal $77.00. It's still a good deal at $77.00. The installation instructions were good and easy to use. Had it set up in 15 minutes or so and then I was on to truing my wheels. Worked great and I'm even doing a set of wheels for my buddy. This is a must have if you want to do it yourself.

If you ride on the street or dirt and change your own tires you need one of these. Makes balancing tires/wheels very easy. This thing is well built and easy to assemble. Built in bubble level in the base and adjustable feet makes sure the stand is level for the balancing process. Nice ball bearing shaft supports and cone wedges to center everything up. I put both of the wheels off on my motorcycle in this stand when I first got it. The wheels had been balanced at a motorcycle dealer previously. Man were they out of whack.... obviously they didn't take the time to get them perfect let alone even close. Now I can get my full OCD balance groove on anytime I want. LOL! The truing pointer is another feature that makes this stand an even better tool to have. Highly recommended.

Product overall great quality but cheap junk hardware they provide is garbage. Went to Ace Hardware and bought better quality hardware. Works great.

Just changed 3 tires out when we got this in. It went together easily. It seems sturdy and strong. It was very capable of having my 15" and 19" motorcycle tires on it. I didn't use the "truing" part of this stand, so I can't say anything about that. But it does a good job at balancing tires. It paid for itself the first day I used it. I balanced the first tire in 4 minutes and only took a couple of minutes with the other 2 tires. I have never balanced my tires before. So, for the first timers out there.....when you add weights, start with the heavy weights and then add a smaller weight if you need it. When I did it the first time, I put the light ones on and had way too many weights on the rim. Then I realized I was using the light weights first. Very easy and a great tool to have for the DIY motorcycle/shop guy (or gal).

The bearings in these have seized up since the shop gets pretty humid and they're not really all that sealed (all my other tools are pretty rusted too). That aside, I was able to balance my VTX 1800 tires with ease since the wheel bearings did the spinning lol. After balancing, took her for a ride down a long straight, hit the rev limiter at Darwin speed, and no vibration. Turns out the bearings aren't all that necessary. I guess I could have rigged something up myself but it has a level built in and the balance rod is critical. Knowing me I'd eff up getting it balanced just right. The dang thing just works even after seizing up. That's pretty awesome.

No issue with the product. Well packaged and shipped. Instructions could use a list of devices. Also one bearing needed the copper seal to be pressed all the way in on one side which I did with a light tap using a common screwdriver and small hammer on the area that needed to be pushed in all the way. The copper casing was rubbing on the washer but after the light couple of taps now the bearing is working as designed.

I was a bit worried when I ordered this stand as I've never heard of the brand and the price was pretty low. When I recieved the stand I was happy to find that it is well made and works perfectly. The bearings spin very free and smooth which is likely the most important aspect of these stands. It is very sturdy and the balance bubble and truing indicator are nice features other stands may not include. I could have made one of these myself but for the price I paid it would have hardly been worth it. If you are looking for a stand to allow you to balance MC wheels this one does the trick.

Works exactly how it should. Simple use. Great product for the price. I have only balanced a couple tires with it so far but works great!

This product arrived in packaging that had been beaten up significantly -- both the Amazon and OEM packaging was damaged, ripped, holed and sloppy. I was concerned because it is a precision measurement tool...not a good omen that it came in destroyed packaging. The product itself is excellent. The engineer who designed it should be scolded for not taking the time to provide the bolt, nut and key sizes required to assemble it so you don't have to do trial and error to figure it out. No instructions, but it is straight forward. When assembled, it is solidly built and really easy to balance before use. I used it to balance the wheels for a BMW F850GS Adventure, and it worked perfectly. The wheel rolls for a long time, making it easier to find the light point in the wheel. The truing arm is ok, but the adjustment on it makes it challenging to get the needle exactly where you want it. Overall -- A good product for what you pay for it, and would recommend it despite the negatives.
