Question 1

If I do this for lets say 5 hours a day, would it would be able to handle that? Also have you lose weight

I have been using this as part of a diet and exercise program to lose weight (and have lost 12 lbs in the last couple months with 30 minutes of a cardio workout 5 days per week - as recommended by the AHA); however, I am using it at a higher intensity setting and probably a faster pace for only 30-45 minute stints daily than you would likely use for 5 hours a day.  The movement is easy enough, once you get it started, but I wouldn't recommend using this in place of vigorous physical activity with the intention of losing weight.

Question 2

Does this also work standing up?  I have a stand-up work station and would like to be able to use this for both standing up and sitting at my desk.

Yes, this works standing up. You have to reverse your orientation from sitting down. Wheel and arm durability are questionable without conclusive company test results. That I haven't seen anything on such an obvious and popular use seems like a strategy for warranty issues, target market and deniability (Improper use claims). So yeah, you can do it, but durability may be reduced.

Question 3

My FitDesk (Under Desk model) is starting to squeak and make a little noise.  Where would I spray Pledge or WD40 to stop the noise?

It was the wheels which were squeaking! I sprayed WD-40 on the axle and outside of the wheel, and I cleaned under the wheel. It no longer squeaks at all, although I'm not sure which step solved it.

Question 4

Can anyone tell me how difficult the lowest setting is? I have a Deskcycle, and like that its lowest setting is practically no resistance.

I have both the Deskcycle and FitDesk. I keep the Deskcycle at work and the Fitdesk at my home office.  I have both set to 3 so I cannot compare them directly at the lowest setting. Having said that, the FitDesk at the lowest setting seems to have only a little bit more resistance but definitely more inertia to overcome when you start pedaling on it. The clearance for your knees is lower on the FitDesk. I had to modify my desk at work with the Deskcycle as I had a Keyboard credenza which was too low even with the shorter legs.
