Will do the job.
I've owned one of these fans before which we keep on are screened in back porch. It lasted a few years but it does have a problem with flSliding scale. It wouldn't stay up all the time and I started having to tape it up. So I decided to purchase a new one. It's just as well as the one I had before. Hope this one may will last a little bit longer. I wish they could fix it where it would stay in place after a while but once you unscrew it and move it up and down it starts to not stay in place. But it was a good price. For what I needed. No problems with the shipping. Easy to put together works well.

Works great!
This fan has worked perfectly for the last few months! We run it on low every night and it’s a great, quiet sound to fall asleep to. We’ve used the high settings to help circulate air and it’s also worked great then! No complaints!

What A Difference!
I moved into my place in March, weather was perfect for my apartment then, however, when summer hit, I felt it, I was melting in this sauna, sweating, swimming in my bathtub pretty much all day. I needed to buy a fan and fast before I passed out in this crazy heat I was sitting in. I bought this fan like about a week or two ago and when I arrived to my house I hurried to put it together. My Experience:Delivery and packaging was perfect. Putting it together was very easy, although it got a little complicated when I got to the cover. A little tricky to click it in, but after aligning it, it clicked just fine. The material is very cheap plastic, feels and looks very cheap, almost treated it delicately, you're definitely getting what you paid for. Once I hooked it up, I was doubtful about feeling anything due to the material being so cheap, but when I turned it on HEAVEN! I understand what you guys were saying about the cord, definitely not used to the cord attached to the head of the fan, didn't like that aspect, luckily I had an extension cord, you're definitely going to need one for sure. This may be a deal-breaker for most, but I didn't care that much, I was in dire need for a fan. Plastic or not, this is a great cheap starter fan till you get the one you can afford. The wind coming out of this thing is so strong, I'm going to sleep peacefully tonight :D

Lasko 2521 16" Oscillating Stand Fan
What a great fan for the price. The fan arrived on time and it was up and running within five minuets of removing it from the shipping box. Easy to put together and so quiet on all speeds. The only unusual thing that I noticed is that if you put your hand about two inches in front of the fan guard it seems to be moving very little air. When you move your hand about a foot or more in front of the fan guard it seems to be producing a large volume of air. This fan works for me, you might like it too.I have several of these Lasco fans and I also had issues with getting the fan guard to seat firmly in place on the first one that I purchased. However once I realized that it did not "snap" in place but rather it sort of slips into position and that if you try to force it to lock, it won't then it was much easier to put together.,Think of it like putting a large plastic ring around the tips of you fingers and thumb, If you spread your fingertips apart, like a blooming flower, the large plastic ring is held firmly in place like a friction fit What you are doing is putting a large plastic ring (the front cover) over your fingertips (the back cover tabs) This type of fit is surprisingly secure. After I got that figured out it was very easy to put the other ones together and to be able to remove the front cover for cleaning. Hope that helps.

A great fan for a great price.
I've found Lasko products to be generally pretty awesome. I've purchased a couple of their heaters in the past and now this fan and all their stuff has so far exceded expectations. The only negative thing I can say about this fan is that the plastic cage or grill is somewhat cheaply made. Despite this I have had zero problems with the fan. It's very quiet, doesn't vibrate, oscillates perfectly fine.I'll elaborate about the cage:* There were a couple of very small blemishes from the manufacturing process. Nothing noticeable. Had I not put the pieces together myself I never would have noticed them.* The clips that hold to front grill to rear grill don't seem very secure. Still, I've knocked this fan over a few times and the front piece still hasn't popped off like I thought it would. That's it. Hardly worth mentioning but I do so for the sake of earnest thoroughness. Basically a twenty-something dollar fan has a couple of non-issues... you should probably but this fan.

Should have gone with a more expensive fan
The item arrived as expected, you get what you pay for and this is a great example of that statement. I can't complain it was cheap.Pros:*Easy set-up*Good Air circulation and white noise (I bought cheap for the white noise more expensive models are generally quieter).Cons:*Its cheap plastic, where the cover latches it doesn't match up.*The pole has a plastic ring that holds the joint together -- the fan is constantly falling over at the middle joint. The plastic ring isn't broken, its just crap. Luckily my book shelf catches and keeps it from crashing to the ground and I just go over un-screw the ring, set the fan back up and tighten the ring -- it generally holds for a couple of days if I tightened it correctly.Since the fan part works and thats what I wanted, I'm tempted to grab a roll of duct tape and some sticks to wrap around the joint for more permanent stability. Wrap it in fabric or something to disguise the ugly duct tape.
