I thought it would be cheap and more like a dart gun
So let me just tell you... The review I read was from a man who gave this to his 8 yr, old son. This was a gift for my teenage daughter and I am shocked at the quality of this item.I thought it would be cheap and more like a dart gun. It is good quality constructed and is very nice but can be dangerous so I would not give to a small child or let my child use unsupervised. It is heavy and we found it hard to cock but very fun once we did. We tested it out in the driveway thinking it would only fire a very short distance,,,,, WRONG.. It went through our multiple cardboard box within box target and ricocheted off the gravel.. Bad idea. So,,, ladies and gents.... have a bit more sense than I did. Buy a real bow target if you purchase this so you dont harm yourself/others/pets/property ect.. or loose your arrows to the woods.

Fantastic Crossbow for smaller people
I am so happy with this purchase. Lemme say, 80lbs of resistance is very hard to draw back. I'm 5'5" and 120lbs, the first few times I tried I couldn't draw it back. So my friend helped me. After a few days of trying and trying I was able to cock it by myself!!!!! I have now gotten to the point where I can use both hands to draw it back and I can do it as much as I want. THIS IS NOT A TOY, the plastic bolts it comes with will break and will get lost. Bolts are pretty expensive, but the satisfaction of being able to shoot this is well worth the cost.

I like it more than i expected BUT read for how to put together etc.
On arrival the box looked more like a cheap toy but thankfully the contents were much better than the box led me to believe. Inside is everything you need except line wax, youโll need that if you donโt already have any. As to how to put it together use this along with the information that comes with. First take one of the rubber pads and a couple drops of superglue and place it center of the rear side of the bow facing you. Next do the same on the other side with the other pad. Next if you do not have anyone to help bend the bow you can do it yourself. First unscrew the nut in front at least half way so there is plenty of room to push the bow through the hole. Next push the bow, without string, through that hole. Do not tighten the screw down or put the metal plate in yet. Next once the metal bow is in remember to put the two plastic tip caps on at each end tip. Then put on loop of the line on one end. Next put the end of the bow on the ground/floor. Then use both hands and all your weight to push, bend, compress the bow so you can get the other end of the line loop onto the top of the bow. It took me about three tries to get it but it wasnโt too hard. Just takes a bit of patience. Once done then put the metal plate inside against the rubber pad. there is a small divot on one side of the plate. that faces out so the screw pushes into that. line it up best you can then start to tighten the screw down using the included tool. once the bow is flat against the plates and fully tightened your work is done. Having gotten past that part what is not shown is how to use it? I know how a crossbow works but this one is a little different. First above the handle or above this round 'snake emblem' is a small black plastic piece. You need to press down on it to pull the string back and cock it. I have to push the bottom tip into the floor and then push that tab and pull the handle back to pull the string tight. Once youโve done that it is ready to use. Above the grip, below the sight is the scored copper color โsafety bar.โ Once cocked you need to push the right side forward with your thumb to release it and fire. i included a short video to show that part out. The three arrows that come with are nice little metal arrows. The extra couple dozen that are included too are a little different. those are all plastic in construction and about an inch longer. Regardless just put the arrows in the groove, slide/push them back until they click under and behind the metal clip that's directly above the trigger. Just slide into place, click in place and ready to use. Overall when compared to others sold here I think this is a good choice. It is reasonably priced for what it is. The materials are very good for the most part. Being able to put it together by yourself without needing someone else like most others is great. The inclusion of the extra mini arrows is nice. It is light and well balanced in the hand. That makes it not only easy to hold but easy to aim as well. The biggest negative is the absolutely terrible instructions to get started. It is as if they didnโt even try? that's the reason for four not five stars, it all comes down to those horrible instructions. All said I would purchase this again and would recommend this to anyone looking for a small handheld crossbow.

average
This is average at best. Hard to cock into place, sights, no matter how much you change them, doesn't aim correctly.

Great product
I was skeptical die to the price but I really like it.I am not a hunter or anything like that.I got it to shoot a piece of wood in the back yard and it goes right thru it.Definetly fun but you do not want the kids messing with it alone.

Fun crossbow, but bolts are terrible, and string frays very easily.
To sum it up, the instructions were a little less clear than they should have been with regard to putting it together. The pad between the actual bow and the screw holding it in place had fallen apart so it was in three pieces and I really did not know what to do with it. Shooting is a lot of fun, but cocking it is a little hard. My girlfriend has difficulty with it. Still a lot of fun to shoot. it came really skewed with regard to the sighting in, but sighting it in is kind of fun anyway. My only real complaint though is that the bolts that come with it are plastic and garbage. They shoot fine at Short distances. However, 3 out of 8 of them had the heads falling off. This sucks because now I have to bolt heads stuck in my brand new Target. This could have probably been avoided with better glue if glue is used at all. Now I have several bolt heads in my two expensive brand new crossbow targets just waiting to ruin my real arrows. Within a week's time of intermittent use, the middle of the string was fraying. It was the wrapping string that goes around the primary string to protect it, but even the main string seemed to fray a bit. In a very short time, this string became dangerous to use. You should know that no care instructions come with this item to tell you how to prevent this sort of thing. I do have wax, but I barely used this thing and there's no way it should have started fraying by now. It's a shame because it is a lot of fun to shoot.

Well built works better than expected has a lot of power for a crossbow pistol not real accurate yet getting a lazer light to sight in wish me luck. Over all real good product great price. P,S, I didn't get any perks for this review

Exactly as advertised
I bought this, mainly because I don't have the money for a gun lol It is NOT easy to put together the first time, there are videos for that but I sent mine out to a friend and he got it done. But it is easy to cock, easy to load and easy to fire. It has a popping noise sorta like an air rifle when you fire, but it is extremely accurate and will hurt what you aim at. I am very happy with this purchase. My 11 year old can fire it (with lots and lots of supervision) and it's easy to handle for all ages.
