I bought it for the longer range and it is good. I haven't fully tested how far it will go, but it is working fine from a first floor room on far back corner of the house to a room on front opposite corner of the house. I put it inside my mailbox door so whenever my mailman has a package to leave for me she rings the bell and sets the box next to my mailbox. No more worrying about packages sitting outside all day. It's made her job easier too since no more climbing stairs to ring the bell or wonder if where she is leaving the box is a good spot or not.The button was extremely easy to program using the included instructions. I bought a couple of these and I thought one of the was not working but after some fiddling with the battery contacts it works perfectly now. I would recommend this and the doorbell alarm they are made for to anyone wanting a wireless doorbell system that works over long distances.
