Used to start petrol lawnmower, and it works, just be careful as my old one of a few years seized solid and if not careful could damage your wrist with kickback

Nice price and quite robust construction
I bought this so I can adapt our petrol strimmer to be started with a battery drill and socket but by using this it will just carry on ratcheting one way once it starts as opposed to whirling round, if you’re unlucky, if it’s a direct drive - I got the idea off YouTube and with this 1/2 inch drive item, which is well-made and seems quite robust, I am just about to do the job. Nice price and quite robust.

Works Great! Purchased to start mowers and shredder without pull rope and to prevent kickback. Gearing is tight without loose play. Worth the money. Versatile in that it can be used in other mechanical applications. Size is adequate for tight installations. Highly recommend.
