Not great on my Laklund 5 string
If you own a 35" scale bass and are stringing thru the body these might not be the strings for you. The low B barely made the nut and the 3 or A string almost wasn't long enough. If you are stringing thru the bridge you will be fine. Other brand Bass these may work. I'm actually putting the DR highbeams back on as they sound as good as these even with some time on them.Edit: I replaced these on the Lakland with the DR's and used these on my cheapo Yamaha Bass, A TRBX 305 and they sound great on it. Made it sound more expensive than it is.

Very light
These are decent strings, but very very light. Wish they came in a heavy set.

more friction, great sound
so, ive never played with uncoated steels before. they sound amazing. real tinny, great trebles, im loving slapping on them and i can get some gritty tones. the trick is that i have to get used to the fricion first.

Great Bass Strings
They sound amazing and they last a long time giving you that crisp sizzling bright sound when playing. Highly recommended.

Poor tone
I use SITs on my guitars and like them, so I tried them for the bass. Very disappointed. I'm not actually very picky when it comes to strings and it's pretty rare that I would take strings off before they are "used up" but I can't wait to get these off my bass. No tonal depth, very plinky, and they don't feel comfortable to play.

Excellent Strings!
They’re bright, punchy and really cut through the mix. They are very comfy to play too.

Longest lasting string I've used
I've had a set of these in a 45-105 on my Rickenbacker 4001 for almost exactly a year. They've been through a gig, many band practices and a great many practice hours and they're currently about as bright as Rotosounds that have been played once. I've been through a lot of sets of Rotosounds and D'Addario Prosteels and these have a very familiar sound, feel, and tension that I got used to with the aforementioned brands, while appearing to last even longer than Prosteels, which are already a very long lasting string. These would probably be my first recommendation to anyone who's into or wants to get into stainless steel strings, and I'll definitely be trying them out on some of my other basses in the near future. Very impressive strings.

Great STEEL tone, smooth feel
Impressive strings! Very bright as they are stainless steel. Currently the best deal for steelwound bass strings on Amazon, in my opinion. Awesome for metal and slap+pop techniques.Edit: Now in June and these are still kicking ass. Longest lasting bass strings I've ever had.To SIT strings: Let's get more gauges available on Amazon! Would love to have a 45-100 set of these!
