Kenwood Tagliolini Metal Pasta Cutter, Silver

This attachment to the Kenwood Cooking Chef and, presumably, regular stand mixer is meant to be used with homemade pasta dough after it has been sent through the pasta roller attachment. Tagliolini are long, thin ribbons, maybe a quarter of the width of linguini. It's like spaghetti, but flat. I found that I had the roll the dough to setting 8 on the roller before it would pass through this. I rolled out all the dough into flat rectangles, put them on the counter, and then ran each through the tagliolini attachment. The tagliolini streams out so quickly that I cut each sheet into the length I wanted before I sent it through; otherwise, the long strands were unmanageable, even to cut later.Cleaning is easy -- just wipe with a slightly damp cloth. You should not wash it in running water or submerge it. That's fine with me since it really doesn't get dirty or messy, as long as the dough is of the right consistency.I find that the Kenwood pasta attachments are much easier to use than the KitchenAid's, although the KitchenAid has many more shapes and doesn't need to be rolled thin beforehand.--- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

works fine but considering the price and the whole concept of the kenwood 'platform' this isn't very well designed and it is pretty hard to attach it the unit. There are also no instructions on how to clean and maintain this which is a shame.

Good quality, need some more info on pasta making and attachement. Easy once you figured how to use it

This attachment makes perfect pasta strings with rolled out pasta dough. But I'm still looking for the perfect lo carb pasta recipe.
