I am especially grateful to all the reviewers,their reviews helped me decide to buy this book and I am glad I did. Yes the book is short on step by step pictures , This is because wire twisting puts wire in motion and no body can show in still pictures the twisting of wire. May be a CD will have helped but the book does not include any .I learnt wire twisting from someone sometime in the past and I wanted a book that can help me expand this technique. This book did that for me a and I learnt enough to make a delicate but beautiful looking pendant that people keep asking where I got it .if you are interested in learning wire twisting techniques then buy this book and see if you can find an instructor to teach you the basics . This book offers a great technique for making very elegant jewelry with few tools. Most of the projects are made by twisting wire and beads in a way that makes them look very delicate and Victorian. It surprised me to discover how easy many of the items were to make. I've now taught several classes using the methods described in the book and I haven't found anyone who walked away without finishing an item they showed of the next day. Buy yourself some thin wire and small beads and be ready to create items that others will admire thinking there is no way they could create such an elegant piece of jewelry.

The jewelry ideas shown are attractive, the photos are good, but the instructions leave much to be desired. I'm an experienced jewelry maker, so this didn't both me a lot personally, but a novice would have a problem. All of the projects require constantly turning back to the early chapters for instructions on how to do what the project asks for.

Book stained with what appears to be coffee ! Horrible!

I didn't think the twisting wire was as impressive as MacDuffee's other books but for beaders they will probably use this book more than people that have strong focal pieces such as rocks or minerals.
