HONEST REVIEW WITH TIPS!!!! Itโs long, but worth the read!
I found out about poly gel nails from TikTok videos. For months, I thought about trying it out. Since I was stuck in quarantine I decided to look the product up in more depth. I reviewed a plethora of different brands (went down so many rabbit holes, sheesh) and watched a few tutorial videos. I decided it was best to go with this one for a few reasons. Here are 10 NEED TO KNOW TIPS: 1. Almost ALL products are gonna have at least one bad review (probs more if it has more reviews). This one was the best one to me and Iโm glad I picked it. 2. If you arenโt a professional then itโs gonna take PRACTICE. Donโt think you can just become a doctor by watching Grey's Anatomy... cโmon now. 3. It was easy to use compared to actual acrylic and not sticky if you use the correct solution. 4. I bought my own UV/LED nail light on amazon for like $19. 5. I also bought my own primer (ITS NEEDED) & I used a 70% Alcohol solution to help shape/mold the gel. 6. Start off with shorter nails FIRST. Donโt get cocky your first time and try to do some long stiletto nails when you havenโt even figured out everything. 7. Prep your nails before anything. Prep. Prep. Prep. That means, wash ya nasty hands, dry off, file/shape/trim, push back or trim cuticles, file your whole nail gently (the whole nail people), buff a little, and add your primer or dehydrator. DO IT. IT MAKES THEM LAST LONGER. Help get your moneys worth. 8. Speaking of lasting longer... Donโt glob a lot of gel on at first! You should start off small and add more if needed- donโt be wasteful. 9. Also, make sure to not press too hard on the nail forms to decrease any spillage or bubbles (clean around the cuticle area with alcohol dampened brush to remove excess). 9. Follow the instructions Aka: apply base coat, cure under lamp 30-60 sec, apply poly gel with brush that is slightly dampened with alcohol solution, shape gel, cure for 90-130 sec (better safe than sorry, so cure them long), then WIPE OFF with a cotton ball that has rubbing alcohol on it to get rid of the stickiness, shape/file the whole nail even if the shininess is tempting to keep (this is important), apply top coat evenly, cure again for a long time, wipe off again with alcohol, apply cuticle oil, and boom youโre done. I hope this can at least help one person. I love it and everything came perfectly packaged. The colors are great, file works wonderfully, brush/applicator is nice quality, nail forms fit my nails, and came with a lot of them. The tubes are โsmallโ to some people, but if you use my tips on not being wasteful and how to make them last long then youโll be fine. Goodluck!!

This is for the ladies who enjoy doing their nails!
I have now done my nails three times since I bought this kit. I am OBSESSED! I already had my own UV/LED lamp, slip solution (isopropyl alcohol), and acetone. I bought in addition to this kit a nail dremmel, some nail files (the good ones), a pre post nail application cleaner, along with another beetles gel color kit. I feel like Iโm set for the rest of the year, if not more! These nails can last from 2 to 3+ weeks, my first and second set I did only have one nail break each time. Keep in mind the gel application takes patience and practice in order to perfect the look youโre going for (clue the thinner the gel application the easier they may break). Each time I do them I feel like I get better and faster, plus these can get thick without having that heavy annoying acrylic feel!! This most recent set hasnโt had ANY break and Iโm going on 2 and 1/2 weeks. The dremmel will help make your nail shape look much more professional, I constantly get compliments on my nails and people canโt believe I did them on my own. If you like doing your own nails and getting a gorgeous look without having to argue with a nail tech or asking them to fix things then this really is for you! My best friend bought the same kit and items I did and we had a nail night so she could practice and test out her kit, she loved it too!! This is not for people who donโt like doing their nails, or are looking for funky creative styles that theyโre not willing to put the time and effort into it. This will be trial and error, but at least youโre not breaking the bank. The first time I did my nails it took about two hours (Iโm a crazy perfectionist) I did light pink. but the second time it was an hour, I did a mix of clear and dark pink. The last time it was 45 minutes I did an ombrรฉ of dark pink and white but it was very natural looking so I ended up painting them multicolor. I always suggest for right handed people to start with painting your right hand, in the beginning youโre not tired and able to be extra patient, so that way when you get to your left hand itโs a breeze. Pro tip: WATCH YOUTUBE TUTORIALS, you will learn so much and different ways to do the poly gel along with fun design ideas, I donโt think I wouldโve been so successful if I hadnโt. These are difficult to soak off after filing them down with my dremmel, they come off but it takes some time soaking in acetone. I think itโs a good thing but if youโre in a rush to soak them off good luck. Filling and fixing them is super easy, all in all Iโm very happy with this product!!

Nail Lovers: BUY THIS!!!!
I used to get acrylics because I bite my nails pretty severely, but every SINGLE time I went to the nail salon, I was unhappy. The last time I went I was so upset about the terrible job they did that I immediately got home, looked up polygel kits on Amazon, and stripped the acrylic off my fingers. Onto the kit, this is AMAZING!!! I received everything that was pictured, all the polygels and base/topcoats, everything. I looked up a quick YouTube video for extra info, and dove right in. Now let me tell you, I've never done polygel, I've never even had gel nail polish on my fingers. But I went pretty slow with it (the whole thing took me a bit over an hour) and I'm so, SO happy with the results!! It was really easy to do, and some nails needed some extra cooking in my uv/led lamp (it's pretty tiny to be fair), but even then it was really easy to judge; the solution will still be a bit tacky, that's how I knew to cook it more. I got one rough file and one buffer file, and bother worked really great! Word to the wise: even though I wear my nails short, as you can see lol, I still made them to be pretty long so I could shape them. Gives you a much wider margin for error, lol. I was a bit worried because people mentioned the brush is pretty garbo, but I actually had a really easy time with it (well, I did use a good bit of alcohol as slip solution, so I super recommend that!). My nails are strong and shaped exactly how I want them, with whatever designs I want on them. It's so much better than going through all that bull at so many different nail salons. Anyways, save yourself money and try this out if you're willing to practice a bit! I do often do resin crafts and other art, which might be why I found it easy, but I genuinely think anyone can do this, it's SO worth it!!

Super impressed!!
Wow! If you are considering this nail kit and you have your doubts, just go ahead and order it. I have had my nails professionally done for several years now. I am sick and tired of having to schedule an appointment, remember the appointment, drive to the appointment and then wait sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes for my nail tech to get to me. More than anything though, I am so daggum tired of sitting there for an hour to get my nails done. Thatโs just an hour when sheโs actually doing my nails, not including the wait time. I could easily be at the salon for two hours every two weeks and I am so sick of wasting that time. Not as important, but still pretty darn important, is the amount of money Iโm spending for upkeep on fingernails. It is ludicrous to spend close to $100 a month just to keep my nails looking good. No more. I decided about a month ago after my last overly expensive fill-in that I was going to find an alternative, even if it meant using press-on or glue on nails. I actually tried some glue on nails and they are not ideal, as Iโve had to carry a tube of glue with me for the constant popping off. I saw an advertisement on Facebook about poly gel nails and went to their website and their kit was pretty expensive compared to this one (and had no return policy). Anyway, after I saw the advertisement I started researching the poly gel nails and saw how popular they had become and how many people were successfully doing them all by themselves. Iโve read instructions, I watched the videos and it looked like something I could certainly figure out how to do given some practice. The next task of course, was finding a good set at a decent price and thatโs where Amazon came in. My absolute favorite thing about Amazon, besides the two day shipping, is the reviews. I was able to read all the reviews and see all these pictures of this product where people had done their nails so nicely that they look like they had just come from the salon. I cracked open the package tonight and tried it on just one nail, the latest one that had popped off. It took me about five minutes total, from opening the Amazon envelope to being finished, to have my thumbnail done, and it looks absolutely perfect. Seriously, it couldnโt have been any easier. They actually put an instruction leaflet in the box and that was all I needed. I figured I would have to go back and watch a video or something but the instructions were spot on. I canโt wait to do the rest of my nails and Iโll upload a picture then. I plan to do some heavy duty yardwork this weekend which makes all of my glue nails come right off so I will update this review if I have that problem with the poly gel nails. But right now, I am super happy with this purchase and very hopeful about their durability.

Itโs a fair product
I recently bought this product Bc I own a salon! Of course I donโt have much practice, but without the clips they donโt stick to the nails and WITH the clips it squeezes all over and they look terrible. Even when fine tuning with a drimmel. However I used these in myself first, which is hard enough as it is Bc I always use y products on myself first. I chose to Dip powder over then and they were GORGEOUS I had a lot of compliments and they lasted a LONG time I think I could have possibly gotten 6 weeks out of them but I started soaking them off at around 4-5 weeks. That was probably 5 weeks ago and I still have a tiny bit of the product still let on the very tips of my natural nail. I use professional grade acetone and they DONT. SOAK. OFF. this stuff laughs at acetone. Pros and cons. I would probably buy it again

Amazing!
This is my first time using poly gel. I bought it so that I could cover a nail that has a permanent split and was beginning to break below the skin line. I canโt really afford (time or money) to go to the salon, but I need to cover my nails, because they are soft and peel often. I do tons of dishes, I work in my yard, I have kids and I put in a lot of work with my hands, I also help my husband with his woodworking business. This poly gel is amazing! Iโm impressed. The first set I put on did not turn out great, and I had to remove them after less than a week (which was a chore in and of itself, as it has to be filed off); however, the second time I tried, I knew a little bit better where Iโd messed up the first time. A couple of things: the forms really didnโt fit my tiny fingers very well, they kept lifting during curing, but as long as I did one finger at a time and held them downโgentlyโthey were okay. Another tip: make them thicker. Especially if you are hard on your hands. I had one break on me while opening a dog food container latch, and when I looked at it, it was so thin, no wonder it snapped. (That was my first application, and I used the light pink). But as for wear, my second application (clear poly gel) has been on for 3 months, Iโve done two fills a month, with only one complete removal of both my thumbnails. I love the clear poly gel because I donโt feel bad covering it with whatever gel polish color I want to wear. It goes on fairly easy, I do have a little bit of an issue getting it smooth without bubbles, but I purchased an e-file to help with shaping and removing, and itโs made a huge difference. If you have some time to do the work, itโs well worth the results, I am so impressed! I never thought I could get my nails ton look so good without having to spend a ton of money every couple of weeks, and leave my house to go to a salon. It still takes me time, but itโs really no different than if you did your nails with regular polish had to sit and wait for them to dry. Be patient with it, but you will love the results if you do.

Updated review: ISSA YESS!!!
Updated review (original review at the bottom): So after waiting a week I tried this again except this time instead of using tips, I used the dual forms. They came out sooooo much better! Much easier to work with and shape! I also invested in a fine and medium but for my drill to file off as much as I felt comfortable with before soaking in acetone for about 25 minutes and they were off! I am VERY pleased with the product that I ordered another kit, but it was stolen off of my porch *sad face* but I highly recommend this product. And if youโre a beginner like me, start of with the dual forms first then practice with tips if you desire, but I love how the dual forms work so I would just stick with them! So Iโm honestly on the fence about this product. It was somewhat easy to apply but it was VERY difficult to get a good apex with this formula. They ended up coming out very flat. While trying to work the product, it would not stay in place. Idk if it was my body heat or what but every time I tried to move on to the next nail it would start to slide off my nail. Curing it for just a few seconds didnโt work. I had to cure each nail for at least 120 sec. I would also debate the whole โsoak offโ method because I tried to drill them first and then soak them off the next day so that I could try it again after watching a few more YouTube videos but man it literally took me my entire 8 hour shift to get it off with a drill and 100% pure acetone! I want to try again but the struggle I had getting them off was painful, honestly annoying and very time consuming. I also have several of their gel polish sets which typically work great for me but on top of the poly gel they started to peel almost instantly and I never had that issue when I applied over my Gelly tips or dip sets. I will eventually try again but for right now I think Iโm going to try something else. So again I would say try for yourself to see if you have better luck.

BEST GEL POLISHER!
I recently purchased this nail extension gel kit with 2 beautiful pink shades I absolutely adore and Iโm really impressed! The colors are perfect ranging from soft blush to bright fuchsia giving me plenty of options to create elegant and trendy nail designs. The gel formula is thick but easy to work with, and it cures quickly under my UVLED lamp without any sticky residue. The finish is glossy and smooth, and the gel feels durable and long-lasting. Iโve had my nails last almost two weeks with minimal chipping or lifting, which is great for gel extensions. The kit comes with clear instructions and all the basics I needed to get started, which was super helpful since Iโm not a professional. The pinks layer beautifully and blend well if you want to do ombre or mix and match styles. Overall, this kit is perfect for anyone who loves DIY nail extensions and wants quality colors that last. Definitely worth it!

Easy, quick, and safe.
I love this kit. This is my first time using polygel and you can clearly see how easy it was for me to use it. It took me approximately an hour to prep and do both my hands. It usually takes me 3 hours to do my nails especially when I put fake nails on. You should definitely get this kit if youre new to polygel. And they are stronger than I thought. It comes with everything you need. And I love the fact that they stay on for longer. I tried ripping one but it was impossible, so I can guarantee you they will stay on until you take them off. I have tried many different things in the past and polygel is the easiest, safest, cheapest and quickest way to do your nails. Do yourself a favor and get this kit. Because I'm obsessed!

Easy to use, beginner friendly
Very easy to use, has moulds in them too if youre a beginner . Use a primer and dehydrator if you want it to last longer - no fault on the product just something I've observed

Easy to use, good finish!
Iโm happy with this after the first use. The product is easy to use, self levels and the finish is very smooth. Letโs see how long it lasts but itโs beginner friendly. I used an e-file to remove the excess from below.
