I recently purchased Hot Tub and Pool Test Strips to keep an eye on my water quality, and they have proven to be a simple and effective solution. I had been using test strips from this company that were a year old and stored in my pool house, which is not airconditioned. My readings were not accurate, and after spending time reading about test strips, I knew I needed to get a fresh container. These have been much more accurate, although I have had a challenge getting the pH and the Alkalinity strips to agree. The pH was continually low, even after adding a pH increaser several times.

These are pretty good. Cheap brands tend to show levels are higher than they are, not showing the mid range of color. More expensive brands tend to have less tests per strip so you need to buy more types of tests. This ones quick and easy showing both total chlorine and available chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, ph, and hardness

Great price for the amount you receive. These usually last me about 8 months

So I’ve been trying different test strips to find one that works. I think I might have found it from others that said I had high chlorine when I actually had none or pH that was way off that was actually correct the same story about alkalinity or didn’t even read the total chlorine. This one seems to read it all correctly (or at least close for a test strips) The photo above shows the test strip after being dipped in a glass of tapwater.

There is no way to avoid getting plastic bottle's color reference label wet, and when it gets wet, the reference colors are not the same as when dry. That means you have no accurate reference color to which you can compare the test strip. The label never returns to the "dry" reference colors, so you are stuck with some off color references. That's pretty poor for something that the manufacturer knows will get wet. Don't buy this. I'd give it less than one star, but there's no way to do that.

They are easy to use, and accurate. They make tending to your spa easy.

I ordered these test strips because of the great description they were given. Their performance doesn't even come close. I only use chlorine in my spa, yet I continue to get bromine readings on the test strip. They do not accurately reflect the chlorine level in the water nor do they accurately report the pH. Their app is also pathetic. These strips have caused me to have more problems with the spa water than I would have using another brand of test strips.

Good for daily use. Don’t buy more than one pot per year. They deteriorate
