Limited colored vinyl LP pressing. Buddha is the third and final demo by the American rock band Blink-182. Recorded and released in January 1994 under the name Blink, it was the band's first recording to be sold and distributed. Blink-182 was formed in Poway, California, a suburb outside of San Diego, in August 1992. Guitarist Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus were introduced to one another by Hoppus' sister. Pat Secor, Hoppus' boss at music store The Wherehouse, was attempting to start his own record label, named Filter Records. The recording became the subject of a legal dispute between the band and Secor in later years. The band accused Secor of selling the tape without paying royalties, and attempted to put a stop to his distribution with help of lawyer Joe Escalante of The Vandals, who also owned independent record label Kung Fu Records. Kung Fu digitally remixed and remastered the demo and commercially re-released it in October 1998, deleting two original tracks for other recordings from the original session. Kung Fu has since reportedly sold 300,000 copies of Buddha. It is currently the only commercially available demo by Blink-182.

Great record and good vinyl pressing
Absolutely a classic 90's Pop-Punk album. This is a MUST get for any Blink-182 fan. The version of "Carousel" on this album is one of my favorite songs of all time. The pressing of this record is true to the sound of the time. Don't expect super clean "Audiophile" quality.

Perfect condition and sounds great!
This record was received in excellent condition. I love Blink 182 and this is one of my first albums in my new vinyl collection. I had a great time sharing this music with my son.

ahhh mazing!
I ripped open the envelope to find this fantastic piece of nostalgia staring me in the face, couldn't have been happier with a multi purchase from the same seller, absolutely great condition for such an old cd, and even the case doesn't have a scratch on it, I honestly couldn't have asked for more for the price and I was more than thrilled to stick it in my headphones and start rocking out! Thanks so much JRBrooks, will DEF DEF buy from you again!

blink 182 the best band
Buddha should really be considered to be Blink-182's debut album instead of Cheshire Cat. Although, buddha may sound only like a demo album, however, many of its songs contain very formal musical structure which don't sound like a demo at all. It's arguably the best album of Blink-182

Point of View
This is the demo album before they were signed. It sounds as you would expect a demo to sound but the remastering is pretty good and it's not terribly lo-fi at all. 7 tracks here appear on their debut, Cheshire Cat. They are all either rather good or good.Out of the remaining 7 the highlights are only '21 days' and 'The Girl Next Door' (which is a cover anyway). The rest are ok but not particularly inspiring. It is worth checking this out if you are a fan or completist though as it has an exuberance that is missing from the post Dude Ranch era. But as an album, Cheshire Cat is the better option (albeit no masterpiece either).Good for a look into the early days of a now huge band. Traces of talent do appear but it is still hard to see how these adolescent upstarts managed to raise their game in only a few albums to take the world by storm. But raise they did.

A Good Album If You Don't Already Have Cheshire Cat
Many of the songs are on Cheshire Cat, however there are some others such as 21 Days and Time which aren't. The quality obviously isn't as good as the later albums but it's not bad, a good album overall
