I wanted to see out, but from the outside one layer of film didn't seem enough. Now from the outside (in the day), you can't see a thing even if you're right up against the window. The view from the inside is just a tad darker than with one layer, but you can still totally see out without an issue. If I have problems in the future with the layers peeling away from each other or with bubbles, it's of course easy to remove both layers and put them on again. But so far so good. Great product, actually. Tip: you don't need a lot of soap in your water, just a squirt.
