Its a good lil unit worth the money and has remote alsoi like it
Recording music.mainly guitar right now.but soon i will be recording all of it.vocals ,bass, drums.everything a whole band.im ready to.it works great nice looking product.very light and small.it has lots of lights.which i like. I think all rack gear should come with their own style and sequence of lights.i like for my rack to look nice and i guess you could say futuristic.flashing and blinking lights look cool i like them on my gear.tec pro if ya read this there ya go ...be the first to do this and i promise you it will catch on.put lights and blinking colorful lights on it around it in it.diffrent colors when not being used ! If it sits for more than a cpl minutes with out being messed with .then ot can go in to tecnical pro sequence pattern .lil blinkers are cheap .you could really improve your equipment with such a cheap and minute thing but it will help your company sell rack equipment.as long as the equipment is worth buying.im not going to buy something just because it looks cool it has to be adiquit for what im tryn todo and perform it like its suppose to.but if it does and there is one just like it on the rack cheaper that does the same thing and yours is more money because it has cool light fetchures on it im going to buy your product for the cool light effects for a lil more money.and your company needs to advertise your product a whole lot more.its hard to even find all of your gear....thanks tim...good product

I love the fact that I can record into a USB ...
I love the fact that I can record into a USB decide or t flash card. Everything works perfectly, East to operate, really portable, except for a little set back I experienced, which made me give 4stars. I realized that whenever I use two instruments (Guitar + vocals), it tried to balance both volume level. For instance if I begin recording on a loop, when I start to sing, or ad another instrument, the volume of the ongoing loop would drop down, affecting the recorded file. But it works pretty well when I hook only a microphone (mic to phrase looper box to the technical Pro UREC7). I get good sound since they're all coming in through the mic. Other than that set back, the recorded quality is pretty good (mp3) and everything works fine too.

Tech-Pro UREC7 Recorder
I installed the UREC7 in my sound system and it performed as stated in the instruction manual.. Recorded to a flash drive, then played back the recording. Removed the flash drive to my computer, and it played back OK, (as a Way file) I then converted it to a MP3 file. Unit performed to my Satisfaction. Note! You can play music with a flash drive with the unit but it does not have a single play. Also there's no stop control on the player part, you just have to pause it. Only has a loop, and all play. Just remember it's number one (1) function is a recorder. Read the operating instructions. The remote works good with my unit. I did not like hooking it out from my mixers RCA out. There's no way to control the input to the recorder and the meters are at max using it. Distortion can happen to your recording. I do not use my control room out, so I now use it to send my recording signal to the UREC7. This allows me to control the input signal and it gives me a better recording. Hope this helps. Would recommend this unit to all looking for a Flash/SD recorder.

Garbage, Garbage, Garbage - A Fisher Price Recorder Probably Works Better
1. I recorded a song using the MP3 input jack. Two things went wrong:- The song skips/is choppy throughout the entire song.- The volume of the song was low - even though I was recording through a stereo receiver2. So, I decided to try recording through the RCA inputs to see if I got better quality. HOWEVER, there's no way to switch the input on the unit - you have to use the remote. That was a non-starter because of #3 below.3. The remote didn't work. I tried to take the battery out and the darn battery case wouldn't open. The diagram on the back of the remote "describing" how to open the battery slot is piss poor.RIP Product Quality Control. It just doesn't exist anymore, does it? How does this company stay in business?

What's great
Use this in our sound room at church. Can use usb or card. Don't go over 32 gb. Ran from out to record to back and into input. Brought 16 gb memory card and insert. Took about 1 min to figure out how to work the recorder part. Once I got the hang of it was good to go. Hook up headphones to listen can control volume for headphones only but you have to adjust the sound through the sound system. I take card out to upload to my computer. But is only mp3 which is great. Price is good. Does a great job.

You had ONE job…
There’s a lot to like here, but kisses the mark. The positiveEasy to use. I use it to play break music for my band. When you turn it on it starts playing immediately. Remote control isn’t the best but it does work! Cool display and having a volume control on the front is nice as well. Easy to navigate as well. The negativeIt sounds like total garbage. I’ve never seen a digital device sound this bad. I can’t describe it other than distorted. Not readily apparent when you first turn it on, but it becomes obvious one it plays for a minute or two. It just does not sound good at all.Bottom line? This thing has a lot of easy to use features and i love how it kicks off as soon as you turn it on. It’s fine for playing some quiet music over for background sound that doesn’t have to really sound spectacular, but don’t even THINK for a second about using it for your band. Terrible.

Excellent Unit
I've read some good things and bad things about this unit, but I bought my first one about 2 months ago, and it has been so incredibly handy in my Mixdown room, I bought 2 more. One for the Studio and believe it or not, one for my bedroom system. I just wish it recorded actual .mp3 files. It records .wav files. I then convert them to mp3 on a pc. The Urec 5 recorded .mp3 files, but not very effectively, and with limitations. I don't know why they would take that function away in an updated unit. I would think they would want to improve on it. Irregardless, its still very handy to be able to create media files faster and more effectively.
