Fuel Pureformance Adjustable Plyometrics Box, blue, black

Loving this little unit so far. It's very solid, and the adjustability means you get 3 steps in one, which is a huge space spacer. It's quite sturdy, with the top very coarse and non-slip, and easily stands up to jumping or most anything you could throw at it in the gym. Assembly was simple enough and I got it done well under half an hour, but if that's not your thing, note the directions are a little sparse - do yourself a favor and get two ratcheting wrenches; it will make the whole thing a lot faster. (Also note that everything gets locked down with washers on either side except the top screws - those are flush to the board and don't require washers on the top part. That should help if you need it.) It took me forever to find this litte unit when searching for something like this, and I'm very glad I stumbled across it. I almost spent double for a similar product from another company, and this seems equal in quality to almost anything else out there.

This might have been just a defective part, but one of the legs broke just after the 5th use. Specifically, the pin that adjusts the leg height snapped off during use, and the leg collapsed while I was on the box. Given the specs of the box, this should not have happened. The box itself appears and feels very sturdy. My experience could be an anomaly or it could be a design flaw. CAP Barbell was willing to send replacement parts, but I lost confidence in the product and didn't want to deal with it. I could have reinforced the legs, but why should I have to mod this product? It should be good to go as is. Amazon refunded my money without hassle. Now, I'm looking for a quality plyo box/set. Any suggestions?

I bought this item as a squatting box. I only needed the 14" height but I didn't want to go and build one out of wood. Call me lazy, but I didn't like the idea of splinters in my arse. Anyway, after getting a credit cause of the fact that they sent me the wrong item entirely this item came out free for me. It is pretty dang solid and heavy. And it works just right for parallel squats for me. Also, for those of you that want some variation you can take off the rubber pads on the feet and make it a 13" box and go just a little below parallel. I'm 5'9". Good product. Assembly takes about 30 min, and for Pete's sake please put the legs on the top before you put the sides on the legs. Oh, and for those worried about stripping their screws...um, use a socket wrench and a ratcheting screwdriver and once the whole thing tightens stop moving the screwdriver and just apply pressure to keep it still, using the socket wrench to finish the tightening.These screws can be stripped easily if you try applying any torque at all. 5 stars, the product is great.

Overall a good quality product that we had to put together. We actually purchased two and one was a little off. Specifically it does not seat all the way as it's designed to. Nevertheless we still use both of them without any issues or concerns. The top of the item has a gripping fabric so it may snag on your clothes. My husband and I both use the product and I'm 155 and he's 175. You can use this for step ups or jumps with ease.

I had been looking to get a set of plyometric boxes for working out, but I didn't feel like paying several hundred dollars for multiple boxes of different sizes. Then I stumbled across this box which allows you to adjust between 14", 18" and 22" in a matter of seconds! It takes up less space than multiple boxes, it's also much cheaper, and it is very sturdy and should withstand years of use. Overall it was a great purchase! One note on assembly - it is a bit tedious to put together. It took me probably 20 minutes or so, and I would highly recommend using a drill/electric screwdriver to speed up assembly. And don't tighten everything down until you get it all put together. I made the mistake of tightening as I went and I had to go back and loosen several screws to allow the holes to line up in later steps. Just put all the screws in and tighten then about 95% of the way, then once you get them all it put the box on a flat surface and then torque them all down.

Very solid plyobox. It's relatively easy to assemble and easy to adjust between the 3 heights. This box is good for a multitude of strength and mobility exercises.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas.... while it seems sturdy and the material is heavy trying to put it together is a difficult process the screws and nuts are cheaply made along with difficult to screw in. One of the legs is bent so I don't think it will lay flush to the top surface. Since I have been unable to screw one part in flush within an hour and the directions are no help it may be returned!

Edit: less than 4 months after purchasing, one of the metal tabs broke and the box is no longer usable. I reached out to the manufacturer (CAP Barbell) and they won't replace the part that broke. Truly the worst customer service I've seen. Their warranty is only valid for 30 days and this equipment is not built to last. Do not buy any equipment from CAP Barbell. ----- OLD Review ----- Contrary to other reviews, this is pretty straight forward to assemble but it does take some time (at least 30-45 minutes with hand tools). Installation tips below. My only complaint with this unit is that the design of the telescoping legs means that it does move a bit when you jump on it. This doesn't feel unsafe, but it doesn't feel as rock solid as I'd hoped. Tips * Start by separating out the two different types of bolts. You'll use the button (rounded head) on all of he sides. The flat head bolts are for the top * Use a washer on the outside of each bolt (except for the top 4) * Use a 10mm socket or wrench to tighten the bolts on one side while you use a phillips head on the other side. The nuts will not screw in by hand. * Don't fully tighten any of the nuts until the very end. This will let you get everything aligned first head on the other.

Este banco pliometrico merece 5 estrellas, esta muy bien construido y se ve muy robusto. Le puse 4 estrellas porque las tuercas son una calamidad ... Cuesta trabajo armarlo, se necesita una llave de 3/8 y un desarmador, el problema radica en que las tuercas no entran bien en la llave de 3/8, entran muy forzadas y terminan lastimándose y si usas un perico tienes que estarlo reajustando a cada momento. Esos sucede con la tornilleria china ... en fin si tienes paciencia lo podrás armar sin problema, por lo demás es un banco muy fuerte y resistente, seguro te durara muchos años.

This thing is awesome, my hubby helped put it together and the one tip I would say is, keep the box screws loose until u put the top on, then it will be square. Other then that, so easy to change hits, super strong and will hold a ton of weight. Well worth the purchase for a plyo box option.
