This prevents anything falling into the cracks. Tape is secure and holds well. Long strip makes two pieces. I like it much better than the foam seals I’ve used in the past. I don’t haul rock or dirt in the bed so I don’t know how it would hold up to that kind of use. But it keeps the dirt and weather out of my covered truck bed. The instructions say that alcohol pads and an adhesion promoter are included but they are not.
