Appears to be genuine Amsteel cordage. The hank came with a Samson pamphlet and looks and feels genuine. Hollow core, easily braidable with standard tools. Purchased this to upgrade my hammock suspension. This cordage really is incredible. It is hard to believe that such small looking cord can support so much weight, but this stuff really is strong.

I used this to set up an aluminet tarp as a shade structure. Aluminet tarps are not meant to be tensioned too tightly, and the grommets can pull out and tear fairly easily from pulling. So to keep the tarp secure and relatively tight, we made a "frame" of this cord, ran it through the grommets, and left extra space. The corners of the tarp are secured to the cord with elastic bobbles. Worked perfectly, because I can tension this cord as much as I like without it stretching or pulling, and the elastic bobbles stretch to accomodate the tarp. I have a nice straight and flat tarp without putting a lot of stress on the grommets! The cord is super sturdy and durable, and difficult to cut (which means it won't break easily). The company is also very responsive. Originally my order went to the wrong address, so I contacted them to get it replaced. They were willing to send out a new order for me free of charge, but the person who got my package actually came and delivered it to me! I appreciate their good customer service, even though I didn't end up needing it.

Not much to write about this cord except that it is incredibly strong and works well for camping hammock suspension especially if you can work a fid splice.

Good stuff

This stuff is super. Used it a bunch during my 10 years in Alaska. Bought this to pull a pool light cable into the control room. Love the strength to size ratio. Multiple ways to splice an eye. I went with the two way tuck then taper.

The description had me expecting a 600 foot roll, when I was actually ordering a 300 foot piece. The 600 foot roll is available, but the headline in big print makes it appear that the big roll is what you are ordering for less than $100, unless you read the fine print carefully. Even at the same price for half the material, the price is still not bad. It just isn't the smoking deal that I first thought it was. The material itself is good. Splicing it required that I make a new tool that is smaller than I usually use. A v-wire fid worked better for me than a traditional hollow fid.

It is strong and slick when hanging bear bags. Glides over tree branches with ease. I've pulled up 4 bear bags at a time with it, probably 75 lbs. Could have done more but it handled this easily. The 100' hank is lightweight and easy to backpack with. I've used thinner, lighter ropes but this one doesn't tangle as easily and doesn't grab hold of leaves and junk on the ground like the others. Highly recommended.

This is real 12 strand dyneema rope, hollow core, super strong! Other sellers are selling rope and calling it “dyneema” but it’s not, well this is the real deal. Fast shipping, excellent product!

just what I ordered

I can't review this line until I make my loops and test it under load. It came quickly unlike it's higher spec sibling from the same vendor. Not keen on the colour but I suppose that is why it was on sale!
