20" Large Butterfly Habitat, Giant Collapsible Insect Mesh Cage Terrarium Pop-up 12" x 20" Tall

This is the perfect intermediate enclosure for raising butterflies. I recently used it to raise 4 queen butterflies from caterpillars. It was the perfect size for one milkweed potted plant. I have also used it to protect some disabled monarchs who could not be released. I love that it has 2 openings. So useful for tending the caterpillars and plants. An important part of my enclosures for protecting and releasing healthy monarchs.

I’ve bought the larger Restcloud habitats and have always been so pleased with their quality and price. But I wanted this slightly smaller one to travel to programs with butterflies. It’s perfect!! I love the two openings that make it convenient for getting butterflies in and out. The handle is great too. Roomy enough for butterflies to fly around during travel. And with the same good quality that Restcloud always puts in their products.

We are loving this enclosure for our monarch caterpillars and soon to be butterflies. The size was perfect for our plant and plenty of room for caterpillars to wander around. I like the side zipper, as I’ve needed to add another small plant in without disturbing a chrysalis, as it was big enough to slip it in through the side opening without opening the top.

The cage is great! Pops up easy, cleans easy and stores easy. But! I put monarch eggs in there to hatch, but when they did they were crawling all over the outside! The mesh is fine but not super fine so the tiniest caterpillars can escape through the holes. I rounded them up and put them in a different cage. But that was a surprise! Luckily they all stayed on the cage itself.

Great cages tricky to clean but they work great for neonate geckos and chameleons which is what i use them for..

I love this cage so much for raising monarchs I've purchased multiple of them, having the top opening is great but the side zipper is a must have as it allows you to unzip to clean and feed the butterflies without worry of hurting a caterpillar/chrysalis on the top of the cage. Other reviewers have stated the side zipper is to small and this is not true at all. I've been able to fit a large dinner plate in and out of the side zipper along with 2 foot tall milkweed plants with ease
