There is a socket and plug about 8mm in diameter about 300mm from the mounting plate and another junction with wires and jack plug & socket about 400mm along the lead. It might be possible to hide these in the windscreen surround or headlining of a conventional car but it was not suitable for the vehicle I had in mind.
