Milksnakes by Bryan Engler is an excellent book for any beginner. The book covers all of the basics, to include the different types of Milksnakes, their classification, and which ones are favored in the Herp hobby. While a more advanced snake enthusiast might skip past the basic care, housing and maintenance, and the handling of Milksnakes sections, most would still find the classification information and descriptions of closely related snakes to Milksnakes interesting. This book is a great book for any level Milksnake owner (or soon to be owner) to have.

I enjoyed this book overall. I'm a beginner and recently got my first snake. It's an apricot pueblan milk snake. The book contains nice pictures and a good amount of information for a beginner like me. I recommend it to all new milk snake owners.

A good guide for the beginner snake owner, lots of information on housing that I really liked. Good to have on hand.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS FIRST RATE AND BEAUTIFUL AND THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE SNAKES ARE EXCELLENT.THERE ARE VERY FEW BOOKS ON THESE SNAKES AND THIS IS A WELCOME VOLUME TO THESE UNIQUE SNAKES.THIS BOOKS TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THESE SNAKES IN CAPTIVITY.

Thrilled with the book, cover the topics described, quite useful for getting to know the basics about this species.Unfortunately, I'm completely dissatisfied with the shipping, as it's a new book but is already worn off cause a bad procedure. I guess, it would have been easily avoid, if books were wrapped in bubbly protection.
