Black, not Raw Steel.
These are really well made, the hinge isn't made loose it is tight and being steel the stud in your ear won't bend easy like silver/gold metal's. I expected a raw steel color so the black over steel surprised me. But the highlight of the tiny Lord's Prayer is a nice touch when light shines on it. Expect it to be very small overall but nice quality. It will be better positioned higher on the ear.The Lord's Prayer isn't engraved but another layer of Overlay on top the black. Still looks good. Should handle these huggies with small hands.

The writing was very very small. I'll stick with the blue ones, the writing is much larger on those.
