The thermometer is wildly inaccurate
I ordered this because it was exactly what I was looking for. I was pleased with the quality of the all metal construction I let it adjust to the indoor temperature then moved it outside to my porch. After a half hour it showed the temperature was way off.I opened and adjusted it to match two other thermometers. Within fifteen minutes it was ten degrees off. When the sun started to shine. Even though the temperature didn't really go up it showed fifty degrees on a twenty degree day.I contacted the manufacturer and they promptly replaced it. But the replacement is just as bad as the first one. I am very disappointed. It is now three hours later. The outside temperature is 18 degrees. But the the thermometer is showing a warm 55 degrees. That is not with in the 1-2 degrees of acceptable error. I am very unhappy. This is exactly what I wanted to get. But I wanted it to work.

Thermometer is off...but....
It's really a very charming product and adds aesthetic appreciation and value. The coil for the thermometer is on the inside of the clock and therefore if the clock is in the sun, mine currently is and will need to move it, it will read incorrectly. It's 93 today in Tampa and the thermometer says it's 115! It's unfortunate because we have the perfect spot for it where we want it facing the lake view, but we either move it or realize when it's in the sun to subtract 15 degrees. I'm sure I'll move it. I phoned the seller, who referred me to the distributor, who referred me to the company who market's them and they offered a replacement, which I will accept just to see if there is any difference in performance, but I feel it's a design issue. I gave it a three because of this. Clock is working fine and is in the direct sun so I'm not having some of the melting issues. Upon delivery I had to straighten some things up in the casing, the clock did come a little loose but popped back in. Overall, I like it, even if I have to accept the fact that I have to do some math to figure out what the temperature is when the sun is on it because aesthetically it's beautiful and the clock works great.

Great way to keep the time and the temp while relaxing outside!
My mother had a pool installed at her house and we needed a clock and a thermometer that we could hang off the deck. I found this dual sided outdoor clock/thermometer on Amazon. I had it shipped directly to my mothers house. Once it arrived I went over with my tool bag so that o could install on the deck for my mother. The clock came in an easy to open box and was packaged so that no damage would occur during the shipping process. It came with easy to read instructions and the screws needed to mount it. The mounting was very easy and adds a nice touch to the outdoor swimming area. I followed the directions to set the time and it has continued to display the correct time. Only when daylight savings comes around do you need to reset it. The thermometer seems pretty accurate as well. We all have different apps on our phones and seems that the temp is always within a few degrees of our phones. To be honest i think the outdoor thermometer is actually more accurate than the weather app that predicts the temp on my phone. Overall great product that is easy to set time and install.

NIce piece, hassle to install!
We loved this when we saw it online! When it arrived the rod on the clock was too big to install into the holder on the rack; I could not believe it! we had to bore out the holder on the rack with a drill as I determined the hanging rod was too big due to metal shavings inside the holder. In the process of trying to install the clock, which was still very tight after boring out the hole twice, the rod which the clock hangs from broke. I got it back together, hung it and it looks nice. The clock and thermometer both seem to be working fine. It is a nice appearing piece, looks great on our screened in porch but I really don't think you should have to go through all the hassle to install, it is not cheap.

Nice looking
This replaced an older unit as the thermometer finally quit. This new one does have and adjustable thermometer but still does not seem to be as accurate. Still a nice unit to hang from my eaves.

Nice look
We wanted an easy-to-read, traditional-look thermometer for outside our home. This fits the bill, and we get the unnecessary but amusing extra of having a clock facing our driveway. (It's actually nice when working in the yard to be able to check the time.)The screw that hangs the clock from its frame tends to rust a bit--maybe a little caulking or petroleum jelly before screwing it in would prevent that. But it hardly shows.Don't put it in direct sun: we did at first, and on a hot day (about ninety degrees), it said it was 115! But in the shade, it's very accurate.Update: after a few months, the clock started losing time. I reset it periodically but it keeps happening. Maybe that's because the batteries are cold, but if so, that's poor design. I'd prefer to have a thermometer on each side, actually. They won't replace my clock after only 4 1/2 months. Don't buy if you want a functioning clock.

Save your money!
This is the biggest waste of money ever. I bought it in May 2016, and finally got around to hang it on the house this summer. In less than four months the hands fell off the clock. I see I’m not the only one with this problem.Worse than that, the thermometer never held the right temperature. To be fair, our house is in the sun all afternoon, and I shouldn’t be surprised that a simple coil thermometer like this would be affected by direct sun. If that had been mentioned in instructions, or in the description, I never would’ve purchased it. Or at least, if it was in the instructions… I would’ve placed it at a different spot.Worse than that, the thermometer never held the right temperature.
