I got 2 sets of these for my wife and I to go camping with. I wanted something that could stow in either the stanley cup or a mess kit. Yes, worked in both cases. I tested these out on dinner at home before using in the field. The latches work but since there is no detent, they can slide out of position. I found that adding a rubber band, wrapped around the handle behind the latch, kept the latch from sliding back out of position. If the latch slides out of position, the utensil can collapse, which isn't a disaster, but annoying. Also, make sure the latch engages the outer surface of the utensil front, else it is not functioning.The knife is not serated, which some people may not like, but I was able to slice chicken with it marginally well so I found that acceptable. You could sharpen the knife if you want.

I take this to work everyday because it folds and fits in my lunch container. Works great, easy to wash, and dishwasher safe

Kids back to school and we have them brought their own lunches. At first I had them brought the plastic spoons so they could just throw away after uses. I started looking for alternative for something that can fit into the lunch containers. I have those thermal containers so I need something that can be folded. These camping utensils work perfectly.
